JT's Notes: I had this really mental, class idea of turning Sad Boy's mishaps into an actual TV series pilot for the craic. I want to see how it turns out like, so since the scenes are short, I'm gonna do a few scenes per page. If this gets enough interest, I'll do another episode. Enjoy.
JANK - PILOT EPISODE
EXT. STREETS (DAYTIME)
SUBTITLE: FIVE HOURS AGO
Fades into:
Sad Boy wearing an old, crinkled shirt, trousers that are too short, a loosened tie and scuffed shoes; dark rings around his eyes, yellow teeth, has scabs up his arm and is pale.
He's running down the street after stealing money and is being chased by a crazy shopkeeper with a knife in his hand.
SAD BOY (VO):
Life's simple; you make choices and you don't look back.Sprinting as fast as he can, he runs through the archway infront of him, missing the ongoing traffic. A lorry comes and pulls out in front of the angry shopkeeper, running over his foot.
Sad Boy looks back and smirks.
He sees a nearby wall, begins to scales it, gets to the top, looks down and is ready to jump.
SAD BOY (VO):
Mistakes are another kettle of fish.Transition to: Sad Boy "jumping" inside of Lincoln's "drug den".
INT. DRUG DEN
The interior is dark and dingy. It smells like rotting wood, alcohol, coffee and sweat. There are chips out of the walls, floorboards and one lone, broken window which is blacked out by tape. The place is warm with no working air conditioning.
Lincoln's injecting heroin into a random female who falls to the ground with a smile etched across her face.
An older middle aged man with rotting teeth and a small slim frame (Pepe) is in the corner of the room, grinning, high out of his mind.
Carlos is topless in the middle of the room on the sofa, sipping on some Buckfast, yelling at the score flashing across the old TV. Spurs are getting beat.
Darren, dressed in a vest top and ripped jeans is shoeless, sitting smoking a cigarette and sipping on a cup of coffee. He's coming down from a heroin high.
Sad Boy sits down beside him on the other chair. He notices a rope, needle and spoon on the table he's resting his elbow on.
SAD BOY (VO):
The truth of the matter is, I didn't choose the junkie life... the junkie life chose me.Cut to: flashback of Teenage Sad Boy sitting on a sofa with Donny hitting him up with some Opiods for the first time.
