you sit in a homey cafe you always visit in your free time, in your favourite seat by the window, with a book in hand and a cup of coffee in front of you, the smell lingers through your nose, steam emitting from it and disappearing to the air. you flip through the pages whilst your eyes wander around the book, your eyes light up when you find something that piques your interest.

occasionally sipping your coffee from time to time, time passes by quickly when you read, the once steaming coffee turns cold until you're left with an empty cup. you sip your coffee and realizes the cup is empty, you wonder how much time has passed, your eyes catch a glimpse of the ticking clock on your hand. you close your book, head resting on your hand, your eyes linger outside the window, watching the busy street outside whilst listening to the soft music and chatters from the people around you.

your eyes met with another pair of familiar eyes, their eyes light up and they start waving, you smile and watch them make their way to the entrance. you hear the bell ring, you close your eyes, you can hear the chair in front of you being dragged, you don't need to look to know who it is.
