Chapter 10;

*Lis’s POV*

I woke up early and woke up to a text from Luke. Aww.

“Good morning sunshine! Get ready for a date tonight at 9pm! I hope you like Italian food”

I smiled and laugh at the little dork. I then got a phone call and picked it up. “Hello.” Aw fuck I recognize that voice. “What do you want, Alex?” “Can I come over to explain? Please. I know I’m the last person you want to talk to and more even, see but I still have to explain that night.” “Why Alex? Its not like we were together or anything.” “Can I just please come over?” “Fine.” “I’ll be there in an hour. Thank you Annalise.” “No problem.” And I hung up. I went to shower and freshen up. I got a text from Kimberly

“Hey love! Jocelyn and I are gonna go to the mall! Wanna come with us?”

I immediately texted back a sure and changed into a crop top and some shorts with some vans. Since its just a day with girlfriends, I just put on some light makeup. I went down and grabbed some waffles. I heard a doorbell and went to open the door to see Alex with some flowers. I smiled and took the flowers and thanked him. He sat down on the couch and I sat opposite him. “So?” “Lis, I’m really really sorry.” “I told you Alex, we weren’t together so its not your fault” I said and shrugged. “Still, I did kind of lead you on. I like you and care about you, Lis. I just don’t know how to .. relationship.” He said and laughed while I laughed too. “Yeah I get it, Alex. But I think it’s better if we stick as friends because I’m currently seeing someone.” I said and smiled at him. “Really? Well, he’s a lucky guy.” He said and smiled at me. I thanked him and gave him a hug. “Well I guess I better get going. I have to pack up to go to another state and you probably go to another state.” He said and smiled sadly. “No! We’re still friends. We can hang out when I go back to Cali, yeah?” I said and hugged him. “You’re the developing the Australian accent already, Lis. See you around Lis and thank you for forgiving me.” He said while I waved goodbye. I hung out for awhile more before Kim and Jocelyn came over.

“Hey girlfrienddddddddd,” They both said while I grabbed my bag and went out. Kim droved us there and we talked about my date with Luke on the way there.

“Oh my gosh Lis. You and Luke? Luke brought you out on a date?” Kim said. “Yeah,” I said and smiled. “Dang Lis, he hasn’t brought any proper girl out for a date since….. Stacew” Jocelyn said and I laughed. “Lis, you are an amazing girl. You and Luke are perfect for each other. The boys, Lyn and I have been childhood friends so we kinda know what Luke was before Stacew and Kyle. Luke is a really sweet guy. He just doesn’t want to be hurt again but you’re changing that Lis.” Kim said and smiled at me.

We arrived at the mall and we decided to shop. I needed new clothes anyway. I got some new clothes and got a new shirt for Luke since I kinda ruined his shirt.. Oops. While browsing through dresses I saw Calum and Ashton at Starbucks. I nudged Kim and Lyn and we went over. We boo-ed them and for macho guys the got scared and we started laughing like maniacs. My stomach hurt by the time we were done laughing. We 4 decided to just hang out for awhile.

“So Lis, we heard you and Luke went out for a date yesterday?” Ashton asked and smirked. I told them what happened at the date. “Wait guys… what does Stacy look like?” I asked. “Well, I’m gonna be honest and say that she is gorgeous like a model. She has brown hair, about your height, curvy.”Calum said. I widened my eyes. So it was really Stacy. “Why do you ask?” Ashton ask and I just shook my head and smiled at him. We dragged the boys for shopping and despite them groaning, they actually bought some clothes hmm. I noticed Calum and Lyn being really cute together and I smirked at them. Ashton and Kim were playful friends. And then you have me, lonely and sad. Wait where’s Michael and Luke. I nudged Calum and he turned over to me. “Calum, where’s Michael and Luke?” I asked him. He wiggled his eyebrows. “Michael was too lazy and wanted to play Mario Kart and Luke is doing…things.” Calum said and smiled when he said things. I just laughed and we all decided to go home. I decided to ride in Cal and Ash’s car instead because it was on the way home. I hugged Kim and Lyn and thanked them for a good day. They winked at me and told me to get some with Luke. On the way back, Calum, Ashton and I talked all about Zac Efron. Oh dang. Zac Efron can do me anyday.

When we arrived I had to rush and look good. I decided to wear a black strapless dress with a cut in the middle of the chest but not too revealing. I wore a necklace and some strappy heels. I put on some makeup and grabbed my clutch. I also curled my hair and checked myself in the mirror. I heard Amelia call for me and I went down. I saw Luke at the doorway and his mouth dropped when he saw me. I gave him a small peck on the lips. He was wearing a long sleeved black collared shirt and some skinny jeans. Luke is Luke. He gave me a bouquet of roses and I smiled. Luke can be romantic sometimes. I told Amelia I was going out and just on cue, Jack came and I smirked at her.

Luke and I went to a fancy Italian restaurant and we bonded over the dinner. He then said there was a surprise for me. I raised my eyebrow and begged him to tell me but he kept his mouth shut. He drove for awhile and then we arrived at a little pagoda at the top of a hill. I got down and realize there’s a small radio there and it was playing ‘Kiss Me’ by Ed Sheeran. I smiled and I turned over to see Luke extending an arm. “Would you like to dance?” He asked and bowed down. I chuckled at him and nodded. We slowed dance and surprisingly he was a good slow dancer. I leaned against his chest and I felt at whole. Hearing his heartbeat and the music. The moon was full tonight and shining to the waters that I can see from here. Luke is swaying me and I was feeling more happy than I have ever been. I looked up and saw him smiling at me. “Thank you so much, Luke.” I said and he held me tighter. “No, thank you Anna. Thank you for giving me a chance.” He said and kissed my forehead. We swayed for awhile before we both went to sit at the edge and he intertwined our fingers and I leaned on his shoulder. “Anna, you know I never knew that I would find another girl that could make me as happy as you do by just smiling or saying my name. You are amazing, beautiful, kind and overall perfect to me. All I really want to say is.. I really care about you and I really really like you. I don’t know if your feelings are mutual but thank you, Annalise.” He said and kissed me on the forehead. “Luke, you must be a dummy to think I don’t like you either. But you are my dummy.  You don’t need to thank me Luke. It should be me thanking you for everything you have done for me. Who knew me and you would be here. You make me happy. You really do Luke.” I said. We both just watched the moon and he held me. I couldn’t stop smiling. This could possibly be the best date of my life. Funny things do happen to such a simple girl next door.
