The next morning
Dylan wakes up and moves his leg it still hurts. But not as bad as it was before he could limp on three legs.
Luna: Morning Dylan did you sleep well?
Dylan: Yes thanks Luna I'll like to stay but I've got to get back to my family.
Sky: (Just returned with a dead duck in his mouth) we're your family now until your better. I've told you I'm not letting you leave my pack until you're fully better.
Dylan: But my family must be worried sick about me.
Luna: I'm sure they are. But to get home you have to cross the river and then climb down the other mountain on three legs you have no chance.
Dylan: I guess you're right I just miss my family. (Upset)
Sky: You will see them soon Dylan now let's eat.
Dylan, Luna and Sky eat the duck.
Sky: Come on Dylan I can't keep feeding you. In a pack we work together to catch our prey. I'm going to show you how it's done.
Dylan: (Reluctantly) Okay.
Dylan and Sky go through the woods. They see a rabbit in the clearing munching on some grass.
Sky: Right Dylan your injured keep low and chase it towards me. Then I'll take it out that be our dinner tonight.
Dylan: Okay I'll get into position.
Sky goes to the other side facing Dylan he gives him a signal to chase the rabbit. Dylan stayed low to the ground slow approaches the rabbit he then charges at it. The rabbit runs straight into Sky who bites it neck with his jaw. He then drops the dead rabbit onto the floor.
Sky: Great job Dylan not bad for your first hunt!
Just then they hear gun shot nearby.
Sky: Keep low and follow me!
(Putting the rabbit in his mouth)
Dylan and Sky go to where the noise went off and see Two men with a shotgun. They had trapped a bear in a cage.
???: Horace you idiot your going to scare the other animals off!
Horace: Sorry Jasper I thought I saw something!
Jasper: (Slaps Horace at back off his head) What am I going to do with you?
Bear: Grrrr (Growling)
Jasper: Shut up you're going to make a fine rug. (Laughing)
Sky: Porches we need to go back to the cave.
Dylan: What about the bear? (Concerned)
Sky: It's not our problem we're leaving.
Dylan didn't want to leave but left with Sky back at the cave.
Luna: I heard gun shot are you both okay?
Sky: (Dropping rabbit) we're fine there's some poachers nearby but they didn't see us.
Dylan: But they caught that bear!
Sky: Like I said earlier it's not our problem he's not part of this pack.
Dylan: I don't care when it gets dark I'm heading back. Me and my family was almost turned into fur coats. I won't see it happen to someone else.
Sky: But you just killed a rabbit aren't you just as guilty as them?
Dylan: No we hunted because it was for survival! They hunt for profit and fun it could be you or Luna next. I won't let that happen.
Sky: (Laughing) You have got spirt I like that okay tonight we will save that bear.
Dylan: Right.
Dylan, Sky and Luna eat the rabbit they then waited until to it got dark. Dylan and Sky are ready to leave.
Luna: Please be safe both you. (Hugging Sky)
Sky: We will dear it's just like an other hunt! Attack when they at least expect it!
Dylan and Sky go back to where Horace and Jasper had set up camp. They are both fast a sleep in the tent. Dylan enters the tent quietly and gets the keys off Jasper. Who had them on his chest. Whilst Sky hides the shotgun. Dylan goes to the bear cage.
Dylan: Relax we're friends we come to get you out.
Bear: Why are you helping me?
Dylan: I don't want to see you turn into a rug.
Dylan opens the cage the bear walks out.
Dylan: Ready for some payback? (Smiling)
Bear: Ohhh Yeahh. (Smiling)
The bear enters the tent. And let's out aloud growl that wakes Horace and Jasper who exit at the other side off the tent.
Jasper: Horace the bear got out run!
(Sees Dylan) Not another Dalmatian no!
Horace and Jasper get chased by sky and the bear until they reach a cliff edge. At the bottom of the cliff is a river the same river Dylan fell in.
Jasper: We have to jump!
Horace: Hold me! (Hugs Jasper)
They both jump into the river. The bear and Sky go back to Dylan.
Bear: Thanks for freeing me young pup please let me repay you.
Dylan: It was nothing really.
Sky: I've got an idea you can take Dylan down the mountain on your back. The pup got to much spirt for my pack.
(Rubbing Dylan's head with his paw)
Bear: It be my honour I'll get you back in no time.
(Picking Dylan up and placing him on his back)
Dylan: Really that a big help goodbye Sky say goodbye to Luna for me.
Sky: Will do pup you take care of yourself and your own pack you hear.
Dylan: Will do.
Bear: Okay hold on tight.
After a few hours the bear takes Dylan down the mountains and drops him at the bus station. Dylan waves goodbye then gets on the bus.
Dylan: (In his mind) It's night time I'll be there by morning one more night Dolly I'm coming home.
Dylan falls asleep on the bus.
