Catra sat on her tattered wooden chair, rubbing her eyes in an attempt to rub away the heaviness weighing on her eyelids. She looked around her small hut and felt her ear twitch contemplatively.
The hut supported one bedroom, half a kitchen, half a living room and an extraordinarily small bathroom. She huffed a laugh when remembering the first time she used it, noting how little space there was for her to even breath. The small hut became smaller after Catra moved into it to, she lined the dark stony walls with furniture gradually and now she knew she had a home. Of course, nothing in her home screamed "I'm doing fine", for one thing her bed was a small cot with a thin, brown blanket strewed over it, as well as a pillow seeping halfway out of it's cover and balancing off the side of the cot's edge. All of which her kitchen-living area had were merely a medium sized, rounded table with two used wooden chairs lining the north and south sides of it, one of which she was preoccupying, a counter that had already been there before her, and a little wooden oven (like she ever used it).
She looked around once more and felt happy with her conditions, despite them being so poor. All the time she spent being angry, being resentful and pushing others away for fear of them leaving her made her aftermath all the more lazy to enjoy. Work was difficult to come by however, being that she used to be one of the Horde's infamous captains, and a lot of people didn't trust her still, but she didn't mind it however, she knew she'd done wrong and had to pay the price for it...Of course never really expecting the price having to be earning the trust of Etherians so she could scrape by. Finally having enough of the heavy on her eyes, she got up and sauntered to her cot, limply flopping onto it's surface and throwing her thin blanket over her torso, barely covering her legs as one hung off the side of the cot. She grabbed her pillow and pressed her head against it, a gentle puff of dust blew from it and Catra huffed a laugh when it did. Time never did seem to move faster than when she was falling into her relaxed, hazy dreams.
Catra woke with a jolt, looking around frantically. She was in a field of lush, golden grass that was soft to the touch. They wavered in the wind like seaweed reacting to waves. Catra looked down at herself, no longer was she wearing a dark shirt and even darker grey pants, sported with a dirty red cloak, she was wearing her old red neck shirt and ripped red pants. It wasn't until she felt the cold metal of her old helmet pressing against her cheeks that she realized she wasn't in her small hut anymore. She sat up, folding her legs under her thighs as her eyes scanned the field. In the distance there was a little hill, an island among golden waves, sporting the life of a large and elderly oak. She managed to wade her way over, placing a hand on the rough, elder bark. She then heard a familiar voice call out to her in an enchantingly distant echo;
"Hello Catra."
-Hello Folks! My name's Blue. So...This is actually the first fanfic I've ever written but I wanted to start with my favorite lesbians ever! I'm very much open to suggestions and constructive criticism. I will be posting chapters every day, so keep a look out! Also I'm writing this on a laptop so I can't bold and italicize, so sorry if the reading is a little boring!
Best wishes, Blue
