Only One (A kirisuna story)

Chapter 1: Impatience

Big shoutout to stella_celestia and MrMcGibbons . Their amazing stories have inspired me to make my own even though i doubt ill get any more than 5 views. Anyways here goes..... i'm writing as i go. XD

Kazuto POV:
It's been 5 years since the incidents of GGO. I really want to propose to the love of my life, Asuna, but every date we go on I get scared and wuss out. But... I've decided to propose on New Year's. That gives me plenty of time to grow a pair and get on one knee.

It is currently December 27. For Christmas, Asuna's Dad gave me $5000 (however much yen). Lately her father has gained a liking to me. This was obviously not the case for her mother. I told him, "Sir, this is way too much!"

He responded with a laugh and an, "I can think of a million 'rings' to spend this on!" And a wink. I noticed but Asuna didn't seem to catch on.

By this point, I was thinking of proposing but didn't have a way to earn the money. This was perfect.

Asuna's POV

Me and Kirito have been living with each other for almost a year now. We've been naught here and there but I want him to propose!

My dad gave him money on Christmas and he was very generous. I've asked Kirito where the money is and if he's spent it but he never gives me a straight answer.

Today is a date. We are going to a fancy restaurant so he told me to wear a nice dress. I told him to get out of our room so i could change. Even though we've done IT, for some reason I still blush when he sees me naked. I hope he proposes tonight...

———————————————————————————————————————— Asuna stepped out of the bed room and was stunned by an ethereal being before him. Her beauty pierced his soul and he was on the verge of drooling. Asuna was blushing madly as he stared at her for a good 20 seconds.

"Kazutoooo are you there?"

"Umm yeah, sorry you're just...... stunning."

Asuna blushed at his remark. "Well let's get going!" She said with an excited smile, rushing it due to the fact she wanted a proposal. Asuna was sure of the proposal and was smiling the entire car ride.

Mr Yuuki bought Asuna and Kirito a nice house and car. After realising his daughter had no intention of being with anyone else, he might as well help them settle down. Mrs Yuuki has been very distraught by Shouzou's help toward them. She occasionally offers money to Kirito to leave Asuna but he always refuses. Asuna finding this out, has blocked off contact to her mother.

During their dinner, Asuna had noticed Kazuto's sweating. She was overwhelmed with joy as she thought this was it. His proposal.

Asuna's POV

This is it!!! He's going to propose, i can feel it!!!

We finished our dinner and I saw Kirito reach into his suit pocked! And as he pulled it out I shouted "YES!!"

Everyone looked at me as well as Kazuto as i looked into his hand and saw his phone. I was blushing madly. He asked if he wanted to take a selfie. Embarrassment washed over me.

Kirito's POV

I looked at Asuna in confusion. She had suddenly shouted 'YES!!' Out of nowhere. She was blushing madly and I could tell she was embarrassed. Did she think i was proposing?!? No way!

Im waiting for New Year's. Not too long to go. Only 3 days. I got this.

I had no idea writing was this hard. This is a short chapter and it took me almost an hour to write. Now I know to think twice when trying to rush out a chapter of my favorite writers. I probably won't be writing regularly. Just a side thing but i promise I will update. Add to library if u enjoyed so far (I doubt u did) to be notified when I update but... Thank You For Reading! :)
