Thieves to Catch

Years passed by. You are working in the survey corps. Meaning , yes, you had fought titans and saw them. Let's just say that you were traumatized and terrified of all your experience with it luckily you were always by Erwin's side and you weren't stupid. You were pretty clever. You two become great friends, even though humanity is nearly extinct.

You gotta enjoy your life while you still have it.

You were outside, watching the wide sky. "Today feels nice." You hummed. You hear footsteps approaching from behind. You turned around seeing Erwin holding a paper in his hand. "It's hot out here. You should stay inside." He smirked. "Mhm, I'm good." You rolled your eyes, giving a slight grin on your face. You two are friends so, you guys dispute sometimes and give off a little salty look to each other. You know, the usual thing.

"We have a mission." Erwin handed you the paper. You took it and read it. "We're going to the underground city?" You inquired, your eyes still attached to the paper. "Apparently so." He sighed. "It's filthy down there." Erwin chuckled at your words. "Clean freak." He laughed. "I'm not a clean freak, I'm just sensitive to filth and dirt." You huffed at Erwin while he giggled at you.

"Come on, stop being adorable and get ready." He smirked and walked off, going back inside. "Wah- I AM NOT ADORABLE, HOW DARE YOU!" You followed Erwin with a flustered face, stomping the ground angrily.

"So there are thieves in the underground city?" You asked Erwin while putting your cloak on. "Yeah, and they apparently have a 3d maneuver gear." He clarified, his eyebrows furrowed down. "That's absurd. How did they get them?" You positioned your hands on your hips. "Well, we're gonna find that out." He faces the door and walks out. "Idiot just left me." You sighed with disappointment. You slammed the door when you got out and followed Erwin.

"Are you okay?." you glanced at Erwin. He halted on his tracks and faces to you. "I'm just stressed, don't worry." He grinned. He pats your head and continues to walk. "Jeez, Am I that short?" You continued to follow Erwin with a puffed red face.

You got out with Erwin's comrades and prepared the mission to catch thieves from the underground city. "Shouldn't the military police take care of this?" Erwin looked at you with a stiff face before saying anything. "They couldn't take them." He said, mounting on his horse.

You mounted on your horse and wore your hood on. "Remind me why we're wearing our hoods on, Mike?" You whispered to Mike beside you. "Well. you don't want your pretty face to be smudged with dirt in the underground city, would ya?" He chuckled in mid-sentence. "Very funny." You sarcastically laughed, you and Mike were pretty much drink buddies.

The mission started and you were going to the underground city. The place you'd least visit. After entering the underground city, you could already feel the germs spreading on your boots. You definitely need new boots after this. You dismounted on your horse and took a glance at Erwin. He seemed silent and frigid to you today, wonder why.

"IT'S THEM AGAIN, CALL THE MILITARY POLICE!"

Reader's POV

"Let's go!" Erwin commanded. We started using our 3d maneuvering gear and chased the thieves. Erwin was right, they have the 3d maneuvering gears and they know how to use it very well. From what I can see, there were two males and one female. One with blonde hair, one with dark hair, and the other with scarlet hair. The soldiers who were in the front line fell, they weren't really good at using the 3d maneuvering gear.

We started to sprint towards them. Then, one of them shifted their gears, he unexpectedly pushes backward. He was behind us. I glanced at him to see his face. He had a cold emotionless face although he is attractive. "That is so cool!" My eyes still glued to him. We made eye contact for a brief moment. His dull grey eyes and his dark raven hair, holy crap he's handsome. "(Y/N)!" Erwin shouted my name, my head quickly shifted to him. "Concentrate." Erwin's thick tone made my body shiver. "S-sorry." I softly said.

The trio separated ways and we followed them. I followed the female, she's fast but her moves are not smooth. I might have the chance to bring her down. I sprinted towards her, this is my chance to get her. I catch up to her, with just one yank I was above her and I quickly stomped on her back making her lost control and fell down. We approached the ground, her face slammed to the ground. "Taste that." I scowled. Her head slowly tilted as she tried to get up, "I'll kill you, just you wait!" She didn't sound sincere but that was definitely a threat so I stomped her harshly. She groaned loudly.

"We'll have to see about that." I cuffed her hands and grabbed her collar to stand up. Her eyebrows furrowed down, her emerald eyes stared back at my (E/c). She had the determination but she wasn't strong enough. We walked back to the spot and I saw the other guy arrested too. This was game over for them. We met back with Erwin with the emotionless male. "Stop and take a look around you." The male glared back at us, he saw his fellow companions being apprehended. He let's go of the blade and finally gives up.

Later on, they were on their knees. Restrained. "I'll ask a few questions." Erwin lifts up the 3d maneuvering gear they had. "Where did you get this?" no answers. "You guys are skilled with 3d maneuver gear. Who taught all you that?" Still no answers. Erwin came forward to them and glared at the dark-haired male. "You're their leader, right? Were you trained in the military?" he asked. The dark-haired male lifts his head then was shoved into the muddy water by Mike. His companions looked at him with concern.

"You!" The female yelled. "I'll ask one more time. Where did you learn to use 3d maneuver gear?" Erwin asked with his heavy voice. "Not from anyone, We learned it by ourselves!" The other male shouted. " Self-taught, you say? I don't buy it." Erwin asserted. "It's just so we're able to rise even a bit in this dirty garbage place, people who are used to sunlight like you guys won't understand!" The male argued back. "That's enough, let bro go!" The female yelled in. "Don't be cocky just because you're soldiers!" she continued. I felt worried but there's a lot of times where it's like this, I haven't gotten used to it.

Mike lifts up the dark-haired male's head. Erwin crouched down. "My name is Erwin Smith." "Levi." They introduced themselves. "So he's Levi."

"Levi, why don't we make a deal?" My eyes widened at Erwin. "E-Erwin." I called him. His gaze shifted to mine. "Is that okay?" I asked him with an anxious tone. "Yeah, don't worry."

"A deal?" Levi asked with an irritated tone. "I will let your crimes go unpunished. In return, lend me your strength."

"Join the survey corps."
