New friend

The tea night continues

"You make good tea." He slightly smirked. "Thank you." I warmly smile at him. "Say, you and Erwin are lovers?" He asked, and it made me blush. "AHAH! NO CAPTAIN, WE'RE JUST CLOSE CHILDHOOD F-FRIENDS!" I anxiously laughed. "Jesus, no need to fucking yell. It's making my eardrums bleed, brat." He rubbed his ears in annoyance.

"Sorry." I pouted. "How did you guys meet?" He asked, took another sip of tea (DAMN SIS SPILL THE TEA ALREADY) "Uh, I left my home and I met his father and him. It was simple." I shrugged. "I see." Of course, you do. You have eyes.

"Captain, I have been wondering." He glared at me, knowing that I'm probably gonna ask a dumb question. "What?"

"Are you and Petra dating?" They were always close and Petra is the only girl in his squad so I was curious. "Hell no." He bluntly said. "I have never been in a damn relationship." He gritted his teeth, "But you're so goddamn handsome."

Shit. I just said that out loud.

I can't tell if he was shocked or disgusted, either way I think he didn't like it. "Shut up, brat." He turned his head at the window. Was he hiding something?

"I-it's true." I admitted, there's no way I can lie about that now. He stayed silent but he muttered something that I couldn't hear. "Um. Captain?" It was getting late and I'm pretty sure that Erwin is worried about me not in bed. "What?!" He exclaimed, his head quickly shifted to mine. He looked slightly flustered and scary.

"I-I need to go..."  I chuckled nervously. "Whatever, it's late anyway. You can go." He sounded kinda disappointed but I didn't mind. "Goodnight Captain Levi." I waved at him and left the room.

"Goodnight." He whispered.

I woke up to Erwin leaning on my door. "Morning (Y/N)." He greeted me. "Oh hi, what's up?" I said in a sluggish tone. Still on my bed. "You have to get up now, there's a new task for you." I sat up on my bed as I rubbed my eyes. "Great." I yawned. "You'll be checking papers with Corporal Levi." I choked on nothing after hearing that. "What?"

I sighed as I entered Levi's office. Can't believe I'm working with him, ever since that awkward conversation yesterday I couldn't help but avoid seeing Levi but here I am in his office. It had this lemon scent and had a cozy atmosphere. I see Levi on his chair, his arm crossed and his head facing down.

"Oh he's sleeping."

I grinned at him sleeping in his job. He looked charming even though he's sleeping. I slowly walk to him. Tapping his desk, "Captain, it's me. Cadet (Y/N)." I whispered, giggling. He flickered his eyes and lift his head seeing me. He yawned and rubbed his eyes, "The hell you doing here brat?" He asked in annoyance. "I'm working with you, sleepyhead." I smiled at him.

"Fuck, it wasn't a dream." He groaned. It made me somewhat uneasy hearing that. "Erwin said that we'll be checking reports from the town." I sat on the chair near his bookshelf. "It's tiring." He stood up, prepping the papers. He came forward to me and handed me the files. "Check this and I'll check the others."

It was a boring task but there are times where we would stare at each other and look away instantly. "Captain Levi." I called him. "What?" He asked, his eyes still remain on the papers. "Are we friends?" He paused and placed down his papers. "No, why?" He crossed his arms. "Oh, I thought we were because of last night." I chuckled but I was discouraged behind.

"I don't like calling others "friends" it sounds childish. You are somebody I talk calmly and normally to and you should be thankful." He resumed back to his papers, it made me kind of happy hearing that. "Thank you." I smiled warmly at him. I could tell from his face that he was grinning but he covered it by the papers. I made a new friend and it was him, I was glad.
