Kai wondered around the streets fuming. He didn't understand why he was so mad. It's not like he had actual feelings for Tara.
She had a fiancé and was supposed to marry him in a month. Tara had been here for three months and her mother added another month after Tara pissed her off.
Even though he swore he didn't have real feelings for Tara, he was happy when she's had announced that. He liked spending time with her, being around her and with her.
One time all they did was sit around in silence for a day. She was reading a book as he was drawing something. They were sitting next to each other, feet touching and totally silent. And no one objected to it.
Aw man. Kai thought. Stupid Luke with his stupid feelings.
If he really did like Tara then he was in for a world of trouble. He thought out the events in his head if they were to be together for the next month.
There'd be more spending time together, more head washing, more conversations (some deep and others meaningless), more sleeping in the same bed, more hidden make our sessions. And most importantly, just being there with her.
Then came the inevitable time they'd have to break up because she had to go home and marry Jake. Jace? Todd? Jack! There is it.
And since he had somewhat feelings, he'd be...sad? He'd....miss her? No, no question mark. He definitely would.
Maybe their argument was a good thing. He had never had a real relationship anyways. No one had ever cared for him in his life. His own family hated him the second he was born. So what if he lost Tara?
Then the realization set in. He remembered their conversation about you only needed one person in your life to care for and to care for you. He couldn't lose Tara. He didn't want that to happen.
Feelings are so freaking stupid and confusing!" Kai thought to himself.
Suddenly he felt his head splitting. His ears were ringing and his brain felt as if it were on fire. He screamed out and put his hands to head.
"Hello traitor." A familiar voice called.
More pain, then it was all black.
°°°
Tara sat on the bed in her and Kai's shared room. This was stupid. Kai knew about her situation. He had no right to be mad. Then again neither did she.
When Kai announced he was going out to sleep with some random person he found on the street she felt her blood boil.
She didn't understand why. It's not like she had actual feelings for Kai. Right?
No. No definitely not. Kai was just another sleeping partner in her open relationship with Jack.
Still, she felt jealous of whatever girl was under Kai right now. Just the thought made her want to punch something. Too bad she had already destroyed half of the room.
She looked around and saw the mess that she'd have to get someone to clean up and had a realization. Maybe she cared more for Kai than she thought.
Elena walked in and looked to the room. Before the phone call, she never really cared for Tara that much.
"Is everything okay? You know...with your brain?" She asked as she sat down.
"I'm fine." Tara responded not looking up.
"Is this about Kai?" She asked gesturing to the room.
"No." She got up. "Maybe." She sat back down and sighed. "Yes."
"Bonnie told me about the weird argument earlier."
"I don't understand why I'm so mad. He should be able to sleep with whatever whore he wants. We're not dating."
"Wow. Some serious feelings are being thrown around here." Elena widened her eyes.
"What?"
"You two obviously have no idea that you like each other. Seeing as how you both barely have feelings. But it's clear you two have feelings for each other." Elena told her.
"We-I do-" Tara stuttered.
"The whole Jack, mom, marriage WellShadow situation means you very clearly need to get to your life soon. And I am not the best at relationship advice. But I'm sure you know what to do." Elena put a hand on her shoulder before getting up and leaving her alone again.
"Well now I'm even more confused that I was." Tara said under her breath.
She imagined what the next month would be with Kai and grew sad at them end of it. When she had to leave and go home to marry Jack. When she had to hurt and abandon him like everyone else in his life.
Then Elena's words rang in her ears.
Motherfucker. Tara thought to herself angrily as she grabbed her jacket and walked out of the room.
"Where are you going?" Damon asked.
"To be an idiot with another idiot." Was all she said as she slammed the front door.
"Son of a bitch! They are doing it!" Damon yelled when she walked out.
"Sorry bud." Bonnie said patting his shoulder.
As Tara roamed the streets she thought about what the hell she as even supposed to say to Kai when she found him. If she did fine him. She felt her head split into two and her lungs in fire.
She screamed out in pain, clutching her head with her hands before everything went black.
