10 years later

Kai sat in the booth of the cafe by himself as he waited for his beloved. Him and Tara has been together and going strong for ten straight years.

They had a common law marriage and were happier than ever. After her and Kai's dramatic get together, she gave control of WellShadow to Jack and his husband Danny, knowing they'd take care of it.

She dealt with her mother by telling her all the things she had been wanting to say the past 100 years. She walked off without giving her mother a chance to respond and assumed Maria was on her island right now.

They had moved to New York and supported each other in their dreams. Tara has gone to the police academy and Kai had gong to art school. She was there for all his art galleries and he was there when she got swore in as an official police officer.

She was now a detective and running a little late because she was stuck in interrogation. They had adopted a little girl named Elle about five years ago. For not being made by them, she was so much like the both of them.

He sat there nervously as he waited. He heard the bell at the front door and his head snapped up to Tara. She smiled at him and he smiled back. He hugged her tightly before she had the chance to say anything.

"Well hello to you too." She smiled.

"Hi." He said quietly as he smiled widely.

"Sorry I'm late. Turns out that one lady had an alibi so I had to let her go but she dragged it out forever." Tara explained after he asked her about her day.

Kai sat there fidgeting a little as Tara explained the crazy things that happened to her today. They were technically already married by law. But Kai had an idea today. After a decade, he figured he'd bring out romantic dramatic side today on their anniversary.

"And then I hopped over a freaking car! It was insane, I've always wanted to do that." Tara laughed.

Kai had spaced out but when he spaced back in he interrupted her story.

"I'd like to propose." He said suddenly.

"Oh?" She smiled.

"An idea." He stuttered.

"Oh..." her smile had dropped.

"We should get married."

She looked up to him with wide eyes and smiled surprised.

"Why are you asking so weird like that?"

"Right, that is weird." He got down on his knee in front of her and collected himself. "Tara Elle Calaveras, will you marry me please?"

She laughed at his dorkiness and a slide show of memories flashed through her mind. She was incredibly happy for the first time in her life with him and her daughter.

"Yes, a million times yes." She said dramatically.

Kai put the ring on her finger and picked her up. He spun her around and kissed her lovingly. They heard people around them cheering happily.

"Let's get married a bunch of times." He smiled.

"Yes, everywhere, multiple times I would love that."

"T—"

"If you say 'that's what she said' I will divorce you immediately."
