"Not at all," Sarah assured. "My name is Sarah. I run the Orphanage down the road. This is Bato and that's Tess. We came to say something to you."
"Oh, Orphanage," Liu's sister echoed.
She sounded uncertain too.
"Yes. I run the Orphanage. It came to my attention yesterday that some of my children have been tormenting your brother. And they've come to apologize. Haven't you?"
Bato and Tess nodded, keeping their eyes on the ground.
"We're sorry," they said in union.
"That's alright," Liu mumbled back.
His sister dipped her head.
"Thank you for that Sarah. Now if you'll excuse us we have some things to do."
"I understand," Sarah said as the sister picked up her basket. "Hopefully nothing like this will happen again."
She stepped back to let the sister pass then herded Bato and Tess home.
