Liu wasn't allowed outside for the rest of the day. Thankfully he didn't want to leave the house.
The sudden appearance of the lady who ran the Orphanage had scared him more than it had scared Sean.
He missed training that day, but he didn't complain. He wanted nothing to do with that lady and her job. And he was willing to hide inside for hours on end if they thought it was necessary.
"I will never let her take you if she finds out," Sean promised that night.
"I won't go willingly," Liu replied. "I'll never be put up for adoption by anyone. Especially her. I belong here with you."
Sean hugged him.
"Yes," she agreed. "Yes you do."
