I jerked the front door open, making Nessa jump slightly, who was still in my arms. I placed her down in her crib and stoked her head until she fell asleep. I exited, now finally calming down from earlier today. I didn’t know why I was so mad. I couldn’t explain it, just all the crap going on was really starting to add to my stress level.
“Hey…” Cylak started, but I walked right past him and into my room. I flopped down on the bed and laid there, staring at the ceiling.
“Just calm down, Calia…” I muttered to myself as my hands ignited randomly, and I jerked up, staring at them. What the hell is going on?
“Are you okay?” I gasped as I heard Cylak’s voice, trying to douse the flame, but it didn’t go away. I waved my hands randomly, but nothing happened.
“I don’t know what the hell is wrong with me, Cy.” I admitted, finally gaining control and killing it.
“Nothing’s wrong with you, you’re just probably stressed.” He reasoned, but I didn’t believe that. I was sick or something, cause this wasn’t normal.
“You think I’m catching what Ezami got?” I asked as he approached me and put a hand to my forehead. “That would really suck.”
“Nah, this is something different.” He answered, letting his hand fall to my cheek. “It doesn’t feel like you have a fever.”
“Whatever, I’m probably sleep deprived.” I admitted, closing my eyes and placing my hands on them.
“Okay, I’ll believe that.” He laughed slightly, but I waved him away. I heard the door shut, and I breathed calmly, and was out.

“Hey Ezami.” I greeted as she approached me.
“Hey, heard you were somewhat sick.” She told me, her long white dress flowing behind her as she approached me. “So I thought I’d drop by.”
“Thanks, but I don’t think I’m sick.” I laughed, but she crossed her arms seriously.
“You think you’re pregnant?” She asked out of nowhere, making my head slide back weird. “Cause it would explain all the random things, and you guys looked like you were having a hell of a time a couple nights ago.”
“Oh, you’re sick.” I choked out, almost laughing. “Hell no, Ez.”
“Hey, I’m just saying it’s a possibility.” She threw up her arms in surrender, but let them fall back down. “I also heard there was a little fight at Riveredge.”
“Oh, don’t even get me started.” I muttered, my hands igniting uncontrollably again. “So much crap happened yesterday you won’t even believe.”
“Ha, I know you, so try me.” She laughed and I glared at her as I killed the flame. “I know how much crap you’ve gone through.”
“Tell me about it.” I sighed, crossing my arms. “At Riveredge, Cylak and my Dad got in a fight, and they almost killed everyone.”
“Oh my God, why?” She asked, and my headache was coming back.
“Hold on, how long to hangovers last?” I asked, and she just looked at me funny.
“What, did Cy give you drinks?” She asked, and I nodded slowly, rubbing the sides of my head. “Oh you poor girl.”
“Shut it.” I ordered, continuing with my story. “So, Cylak’s past isn’t all that great, and my family flipped out because of it.”
“Why? Was it really that bad?” Her tone was concerned, but I really doubt she was.
“Yeah, he was some sort of criminal in an organization, but I’ve never heard of it.”
