The Toughest Decision

I came back to the hospital. My colleagues had arrived there, they told me to go and get some rest. I unwilling succumbed to their requests. On the way home I constantly kept on thinking about Avinash, his parents and the decision I had told them to take. It was as if I was asking them to kill their son with their own hands. I felt guilty, but then I remembered my sister, my Ayesha, whose life was at stake.
(Meanwhile at Fortis Hospital)
"You know that girl who came, she was asking me to give permission for the doctors to operate Avi and take out his heart and save her sister's life. I know it will save one life, but I can't let my Avi go away like this,"said Avinash's mother.
His father replied," But Sudha, you need to understand, Avi will never come back, he's in coma, it's good if we end his pain and suffering. Also Avi wanted to be a doctor, he would surely appreciate this step."
Sudha finally took a deep breath and said,"Ok. But I want to see my Avi for one last time before you give your consent." Saying this she went inside the room and caressed his hairs and said,"The world has been unfair to you, hope you will be happy wherever you go. Bye champ."
I was woken up by the sound of my phone. I adjusted my eyes to the darkness and saw it was an unknown number calling. Ipicked up the call hesitantly.
"Hello"
"Hello, is this Senior inspector Purvi?"
