Chapter 5

Y/n Pov:

I woke up on my bed in the inn. I was confused on what happened because I remember beating the dungeon and leaving it but I didn't know what happened after that. I ended up sitting up and noticed it looked like someone looked after me. 

There was chair next to my bed and a bowl of water on my nightstand. I heard someone open my door to my room and looked over. The person was a high elf and looked like she worked at the inn. I decided to use observe to find out a little of her information.

She looked shocked I was awake. She got her bearings and told me what happened. She said that she was cleaning up the inn and she heard me collapse in my room and came and checked it out. She told me that she found me with some blood on my clothes but no wounds and figured I had probably healed myself but didn't know how I had gotten injured. 

I decided to spin a story with half truth and told her I had rented this room and went hunting. I ended up getting ambushed and told her that I had won the fight but I didn't think it was a good idea to fall asleep in the wilderness. I told her before I passed out I used a magic that I had created to teleport into this room. 

She tried asking me to teach her the spell but I told her that I couldn't teach it because someone else had made it and we had a deal I wouldn't teach anyone else. She was a little upset about that but understood. She told me that I was going to have to pay for another night because I had slept a full day and I only had paid for the night. 

I told her that my thanks for helping me and I would be out to pay for the room soon. She picked up the bowl of water and took it out and closed my door. I got up out of the bed and pulled up the notifications I had.

I accepted my rewards and took out gold coins for the room and for thanks for looking after me from my inventory. While in my inventory I realised I had an outfit and quick equip it. I left my room and went to the innkeeper and paid for the room again and told him my thanks and sorry for the inconvenience. I went over to the Sibeann and gave her 300 gold to tell her my thanks. She was shocked that I gave her so much and tried giving me some back and I waved her off and told her to keep it. 

I left the inn and decided to visit the blacksmith. I went over to him and he told me that he would teach me either with his own materials for the right price or if I had my own we could work with that. I told him I would pay for resources. I gave him 1000 gold and he gave me enough resources to finish a set of iron armor. 

I started working on the armor and he was giving me pointers every once in awhile. It took me an hour to finish the set but ended up level my skill twice. The armor looked like a basic set of iron armor from Skyrim.

I gave him my thanks and told him I was going to go try it out. I left the city and decided to find a cave to explore. It took me a bit but flying around looking for the cave I eventually found one. I entered it and started looking around for enemies and loot. I eventually came across a swarm of spiders.

I didn't really suspect much with the spiders so I just took out my dagger and started slashing at the spiders. They were hardly doing any damage to me with my armor on but one got lucky and bit into an opening in my armor. I jumped away from them and shot a KI blast. It ended up killing all of them and I noticed that the spider got so poison in my bloodstream because I was feeling weaker and that where it bit me was on fire. I noticed my health was going down slowly so I decided to try out KI healing or cleansing in this case. 

I focused my KI to flow throughout my body and to flow through my blood. I eventually was feeling my body getting lighter. I also felt that the poison was clearing up more like burning up with my Ki. After a bit I felt better then I ever felt before. I ended up getting two skills for surviving the poison healing myself.

Skills Obtained:

Ki Healing 1/5: Use your Ki to cleanse your body of poison or heal wounds.
Poison resistance 1/50: Poisons do 1% less damage to you.  

I got a few spider alchemy ingredients for killing the spiders. I looked around the cave and didn't find much other then some blacksmithing resources like 10 iron ore, 7 steel ore, and 20 leather. I figured it was a decent scavenging and decided to call it on the cave exploring. I left the cave and a dog came up to me. I was thinking that this can't be the Barbas quest until the dog spoke to me. Barbas said "hey I need your help to unite me with my master." I found it weird when the first time the quest happened in the game because of the talking dog but when it happens in person even if you knew it was going to happen you can't be prepared for a talking dog. I froze up and he kept trying to get my attention. 

I finally gained my bearings and asked Barbas what he needed help with. He told me that if I helped unit him with his master I would be rewarded. I told him I would help just lead the way. I thought to myself if this was happening for me does that mean I took the place of the dragonborn or the dragonborn won't be able to take this quest. I guess i'm going to hunt all the daedric artifacts down.

Sorry everyone for taking so long on posting especially because I didn't make that long of a chapter. I found a few fanfictions that caught my attention and was reading them and started neglecting my own stories.
