"Don't move, or I will shoot!" Your voice trembled as your hand weighted down from the pistol. "You shouldn't be down here alone, kid." The man's cackled laugh echoed throughout the subway tunnel.  "Y-you should leave... and not touch anything on your way out." You moved over and pointed to the exit. "Politely go around me... p-please." You swallowed hard and wrinkled your eyebrows. "You've got some skin, kid, but I don't think I can do that. Step aside," he ordered. You shook your head and tightened your grip on the trigger. He speedily threw his hands up. "No need to get feisty here, kiddo. I'm not asking for much, just that safe." The man spoke. You still kept your eyes locked to his. The man giggled, and took a deep breath. You asked him, confused, "W-what's so funny?" His laughter disappeared as he swiftly looked back up at you. "I think you know." You closed your eyes. "I don't-" "Don't play dumb! I know you're trying to join Talon! Unfortunately I'm going to compete against you for that cash their just so I can fill in the slot!" He bellowed. "Y-you're not taking it! I need it, I need it! Talon is my only hope!" You screamed back. In an instant, the exasperated man charged at you. You froze, and the trigger wasn't pulled. He knocked your gun onto the floor and grabbed you into a death lock. You dug your nails into him, drawing blood. He squeezed your neck until you were blue. Right before you had your last breath, he threw you down onto the ground and quickly threw the sack of cash onto his shoulder and darted towards the tunnel's exit.

Hello again! I know, this chapter wasn't the longest, but a new one will be coming out soon. I've started to think about making short chapters, but have 2 in one day (depending where you are) just so you guys still get technically a full chapter, and so it isn't so much stress on me. Yes, we may be quarantined, but I still have to help around the house and do other shit so... it's hard to write a long chapter like that in one day.
