(Some of my chapters got deleted so I'll update soon to rewrite them. Hope that you enjoy!)
It had been a peaceful night throughout the camp and in the Athena cabin. It HAD BEEN.
Annabeth's peaceful dreams and thoughts had been corrupted by nightmares once again. As well the same for the Posidon cabin. One of the residents named Percy Jackson had also been in the treacherous nightmares. Annabeth and Percy both have the same nightmares. So they both can relate to the mournful pain.
Chiron had enough and woke up Percy. Percy jolted awake, eyes wide, sweat from his forehead peering down and across his face. His heart racing with fear, louder than thunder. Saddness and fright coursing through his veins.
"Annabeth." He breathed and ran out of his cabin. Tyson stood there looking sad at having to see his brother go through these horrid nightmares.
Percy heard Annabeth's muffled screams which made him run faster.
He slammed open the Athena Cabin door and his eyes searched frantically for Annabeth. "She's alive... Thank the Gods.. That's all what matters." He rushed to her and held her hand and she awoke with a start. "Oh Gods! Percy! You're okay- they- they'- ha-had you." She began and Percy hugged her lovingly. "I know..But they don't. I'm here and I'm not planning on leaving you." He whispered stroking her head as they both cried in one another's arms.
"Usually we can't wake her up from these things-" one of the bystanders of the fellow Athena kids said.
Chiron looked at them curiously.. He nodded. "Perhaps they both know the pain and that their love is the strongest thing "
Percy had laid there with Annabeth both holding onto to one another in fear that if they wake up without the other, one of them will be dead.
Annabeth's sorrowful tears had quit falling as she was now tired. The drainful crying had made her fatigue. She listened to Percy's calm heart beat and even breaths. She felt safe in his arms. It felt as though it was the safest place for her to be... And it was the safest. And it was her place to be. Right there in his arms was where she was meant to be. Nowhere else but with him.
She was pulled into to deep sleep as Percy had said, "I love you Wise Girl. Always had. I won't let anything happen to you... Ever." He kissed her head lovingly and lightly. She smiled and snuggled in closer to him.
There was only one thing that stopped the nightmares... Eachother. If Annabeth and Percy fell asleep together, their nightmares were replaced with bright, happy dreams. It was like a cure for their nightmares. If they slept away from eachother, their nightmares would come, but if they were together, they didn't dare to show up. They had kept one another sane, and head straight, and in reality. The campers and Chiron all noticed. Hello peaceful, no agonizing screaming, long, nights!
