ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

Some years ago I was, and still am part of a Fan Fiction group called DC2099. Our goal there was to create DC-based stories in the fictional year of 2099. As most of you might not know, the 2099 Universe was created by Marvel Comics. The Marvel 2099 is a Marvel Comics imprint, begun in 1993, that explores one possible future of the Marvel Universe. Futuristic versions of many existing characters were featured in titles that began with Spider-Man 2099. The line expanded to include Punisher 2099, Doom 2099, X-Men 2099, Ghost Rider 2099, Hulk 2099, and Fantastic Four 2099, as well as a new superhero in the title Ravage 2099, scripted in a rare latter-day capacity by Stan Lee.

In Marvel Comics the world of 2099 is a cyberpunk dystopia, similar to the world of Blade Runner. North America is a corporate police state ruled by megacorps, most notably Alchemax, which owns the private police force Public Eye. Miguel O'Hara, the 2099 Spider-Man, is an Alchemax employee; Jake Gallows, the Punisher, is a Public Eye officer; and Ravage is the former CEO of an Alchemax subsidiary. The comics have a strong degree of interconnectivity, even when not explicitly crossing over, that reminded readers of early Marvel Comics. Much of this was due to Joey Cavalieri, the editor.

And here on the DC 2099 Universe, our goal was to emulate that. This current story that you just read was made to showcases all the previous DC2099 characters that were created in the various stages of our project, especially to act like a bible introducing to the future writers all the characters that had been made, and will end the loose ends (I hope some broken links/storylines and characters), like a character in the Titans and other in the Outsiders with the same name.

Some of them are the fusion of various Corporations, the deaths of some characters, and the birth of new ones (like The Spectre – a cyber-being that will rise from the ashes of the character of the Titans – and if you read DC Comics books. It also will introduce the concept that Cadmus, the Character is the same as the Hunter.
