Riley's POV

BANG! The ring of the gun filled the room, everyone freezing with shock. "Is everyone okay?" Ms. Upton asked. BANG! Another shot. Shit. I grasped my side and collapsed. "RILEY!" Maya cried, rushing over to my body. "Shit! Where'd she go?" Lucas panicked. "There's a hole in the wall," Maya gasped between sobs. "It's okay," I rasped. "Find Missy." "I'm not leaving you!" Maya cried. "You, call 911 and stay here, the rest of you, go out the side door, call your parents. NOW." Ms. Upton ordered, ushering the kids out of the room. Ash, along with the teacher and the rest of the GSA went outside. "Smackle, Farkle, go to the office and tell them what happened, get the security guard," Lucas ordered. Farkle nodded, then the two sprinted down the hall. "What room is on the other side of us?" "Art room." Maya said through cries. Lucas exited the room and rounded the corner. This is it. This is how I die. My vision started to go blurry, my head spinning, my clothes soaked with blood. "Maya." "Riles?" she whimpered. "I'm sorry," I whimpered. "It should've been me..." I closed my eyes and plunged into darkness.

Lucas' POV

I rounded the corner and stood by the door. Where the hell is she? As I stepped into the room, I grabbed a pair of scissors from the shelf. "Missy, I know you're here." I growled. Seriously, where is she? I made my way around the room, opening and closing cabinets. When I got to the last one, a shadow loomed over me. "Surprise." A knife was being held at my throat. "Missy." "Good job," she laughed, spinning me around. "Where are the rest of your little fag friends?" she prodded. "I'll die before I tell you," I growled. "Alright then. Have fun!" The butt of the knife struck my head and I fell to the ground. "You... bitch." I gasped. "That's not very nice," Missy said, dropping down next to me. "I'll never tell you." I repeated. "Fine," she smirked. She gripped her knife and drove it into my side. FUCK! "AGH!" I screamed in pain, tightly gripping my side. "Not as strong as you thought, huh, country boy?" Missy teased. "You're gonna regret that." I hissed. She laughed, then started out the door. "You're boyfriend is next!" she called. FARKLE! SHITSHITSHITSHIT. I GOTTA WARN HIM! I grabbed my side and heaved myself off the ground, then limped towards the door. I leaned against the wall, slowly making my way around the corner. Surrounding Riley were three paramedics, a crowd of police officers, her dad, and Ms. Upton. Maya was standing in the corner, watching as they placed her onto a stretcher, Cory following behind. "Maya," I rasped. She looked back at me, eyes wide, then ran over to me. "Shit, are you okay?" she rushed. "I'm fine." I lied through gritted teeth. "She's going after Farkle." I said. "God damn it," Maya growled. "We have to warn him." I said. Maya nodded, then wrapped me into a hug. "It'll be okay, Ranger Rick." Wow. Haven't heard that in a while. "Thanks." We pulled apart, then skittered down the hallway towards the office.

Maya opened the door and I hobbled in after her. A flock of concerned parents stood around the desk while the attendant talked to them. "Your kids are safe. They are currently being held in their classrooms." A symphony of voices spoke up, both concerned and angry. "Please, wait outside," a shrill voice said. THANK GOD! HES ALIVE! The parents argued, but eventually made their way outside. "You too," he said to the attendant. "Farkle," I rasped. He turned with tears in his eyes. "Lucas!" he gasped. He ran toward me and wrapped me into a tight hug. "Ow," I groaned through gritted teeth. His eyes went wide with guilt. "Shit, you're hurt?" he pressed. "Just a little," I joked. It really fucking hurts though. "Jesus! Why didn't you tell me?" he exclaimed, tears filling his eyes. "I could've hurt you! You could've died! Why didn't you get the doctors? Why did you-" "Farkle." I interrupted. "I'm okay." I said softly. "We're okay." "Why did you come back for me?" he whimpered. "Because I love you, Farkle. You would've done the same for me." He smiled, then wiped the tear from his cheek. He gently grabbed my cheek and let out a sob. He wrapped me into a tight hug, and rested his head my shoulder. "Alright lovebirds, time to skeedadle, we gotta find Missy." Maya said. Farkle rolled his eyes, then released me. "What should I do?" Smackle asked from the corner. "Go around an tell teachers to keep their doors locked, but they can continue class, and tell the cops the story. All of it." I said. She nodded, then took off down the hallway.
