"No way are you going like that young lady. You are only 12" my mom said. I was wearing a polka dot crop top with neon pink shorts. I sighed and stormed back up stairs.

"I can't wear this, I can't wear that! Then don't buy it for me!" I said to myself having to change my outfit.

"That's better" my mom said as I came back downstairs in a long dress. "You should stop babying me, I'm almost 13... Im becoming independent" I replied. I headed to the kitchen and got an apple before heading out.

My best friend Natasha was throwing a party. She just turned 13, and was that kind of person to make a big deal out of everything.

"PEY!" Natasha shouted as I walked through the door. Before I knew it she ran to me and hugged me. I gladly hugged back and walked into the living room.

It wasn't as packed as I thought. There were little groups of people around the house. Thinking of how huge her house was made me wonder if there was actually a small number of people.

"Where is Sei? She is never late" I asked Natasha. She just shrugged and went to the jocks of the 9th grade. The fact that we were too young to be in Grade 9 didn't bother me at all. We were just too smart for the stupid people. Oops.

"What a surprise, smallie" I turned my back to find Kyle with his little disciples. "What do you want Kyle?" I asked him. "What makes you think I would want anything from you" he said with a smirk that threw me off guard.

Kyle was the most popular guy in our grade and the 8th grade. He was the head of the junior football team in our school and was going out with the junior head cheerleader. He was so cute but a jerk too. Even though he was going out with Melanie (the Jr head cheerleader), everyone knew he was cheating on her. But the dumbell didn't know.

"You may stop staring at me. I know I'm good looking" he said after I kind of zoned out while looking at him. "Ugh you are so full of yourself Kyle" I said to him with a disgusted look on my face.

"We are playing spin the bottle now! Everyone hurry up to the poolside!" Natasha shouted at the top of her voice. I hated spin the bottle so much. Especially playing with the cool kids.

As soon as we started I finally spotted Sei and moved from where I was to sit next to her. She was my second bestie! "Where have you been?" I spat out with a harsh tone. "Chill girl. We had to take Nadia to the airport" she said with a surprised look. "Who is Nadia?" I asked her. "My dad's daughter, I told you that a long time ago."

Sei's parents had split when she was 5 and her dad had remarried. I felt her pain, having to see your dad have a child with another woman.

"Truth or dare smallie?" I had zoned out again. "Truth or dare" I snapped out of it to find Kyle looking at me. Looking down I saw that the bottle was facing me. "Dare" I knew I was making the worst mistake of my life. "I dare you to kiss me" he said.

Regardless of how many people where there, I stood up at gave Kyle a little peck on the cheek. "That's not a kiss dollface" I heard him say as I was about to go back to my seat. "Sorry I don't kiss man whores. No boy whores. Because no part of you is a man asshole" I gave him the oh please look before sitting down. Everyone else cooed and laughed. To be honest it was pretty funny.

An hour later we were still playing the stupid game. Natasha was dared to jump in the pool with her crush Don. I bet she was squealing around inside. I stood up and hugged Sei and Natasha. "Bye girls, see you on Monday" I said looking over my shoulders. They waved and disappeared into the crowd.

As soon as I got home I took out my Green Day CD and played my favourite song 'American Idiot'. I loved it but I was actually an Australian idiot. Being Australian wasnt exactly the 'icing on the cake' at all... The country wasn't that fascinating at all.
