Chapter 4

Before i slipped my arm was grabbed i looked up to see Will . He wasn't dead ! Yay ! Will started to pull me not struggling at all . I grabbed on to his upper arm which had some serious muscle going on . He pulled me up and sat against the back of tree bringing me with him . I snuggled my head into his chest and let tears fall . I almost died .

" Shh its ok . " Will whispered well he stroked my hair . I laid back and tugged on his shirt .

" I was almost dead , I'm almost dead . " I whispered in a scared tone , tugging harder on his shirt .

" No your not , i got you now . " He said

" Not forever , just for now . " I said

" Its forever . " He said

" You don't understand . " I said

" But i do . " Will said

" Family was supposed to be forever but wheres my family dead , thats were . " I said looking up at him

" But were here right now together . " He said

" Thats better than being scared and alone . " He said

" But its never gonna be like this again . " I said

" But the thing is you just have to believe . " He said

" Believe in what ?! " I said

" Believe in life , believe in each other , believe that theres something new tomorrow , believe in the people watching you . " he said

" Believe in the people watching you ? " I asked

" Yah , believe in the people you've lost your dad, your mom , and your sister and anyone else . They will keep you safe and give you challenges to make you stronger . " He said

" So you believe ill make it threw this ? " I ask

" Yah . I even believe well be together threw it all . " He said . But i barley even knew him and i hoped so much that he'd stay . I needed someone to stay .

" But in a world like this we can't make promises , because promises are forever . " I said

" But i can make promises cause ill be forever . " He said .

" But that could happen to me again , or you . " I said . That thought was scary me almost dying again ,and Will almost dying , that couldn't happen !

" And all make sure it doesn't . " he said . He didn't understand . I didn't want promises made something gets in the way of it . Me and Penelope promised each other we'd be together and then this stupid apocalypse happened and were not together . I didn't want to promise , i didn't want to feel the way i did about him but i still did . I promised myself i wouldn't fall in love , but I'm slowly falling in love hard . Why do promises always go wrong ? Something always gets in the way .

I just sat there staring at the next tree across .

" Wheres all your stuff ? " I asked

" In my bag . " He said .And now i realize that the whole time he had , had a bag but now it hung beside him .

" What if your dad comes back ? " I asked

" I don't think he will . " he said

" Why ? "

" Before he left he said this is goodbye , and his eyes teared up . And after that he walked away with no regard fir me . " He said

" Maybe he went and tried to fix this . "

" No . " He said

" No ? " I asked

" He would have told me but he didn't . He's gone . " He said holding his tears back

" Its ok to cry once and a while . " I said

" Is it ? " He asked

" It makes you feel a lot better when you have let other people know how you feel . "

" But that makes me less mannish . " He said

" You'll never be leas mannish . " I said

" So you think i should tell how i feel ? " He asked

" Defiantly . " i said
