Witney's POV

If there's one thing you should know about us werewolves besides the fact that we're fierce, untameable creatures, it's that we love to sing and dance. When we arrive somewhere, we do it with strength and style. And that's exactly how it went when we arrived at Seabrook High.

Wila wanted to leave that night so that we could hideout and find the Great Alpha. That was for the better since we love the night. We sang and danced until we reached the doors of Seabrook High, me always taking my place to the right of Willa. Wynter was on her left and Wyatt was straight behind her. Even though Wynter and I didn't have any official titles in the pack, everyone still respected us as if we did because we were so close to the alpha and beta. We were like third and fourth in command.

Willa ran to a large vent cover, pulling it open so that the pack could crawl in. "We'll hide here, find the girl, get our Moonstone, and leave this awful place," she said, disgust evident in her voice.

Wyatt shrugged. "I wouldn't call it awful. They've got something called froyo," he grinned. Willa gave him a sideways glance and hopped in the vent. "Yeah, you're right. This town's the worst."

I crawled into the vent with Wyatt right behind me. He closed the vent cover once he was all the way inside. I tried to get comfortable in the metal duct, finally opting to press my feet against one wall with my back against the other. Wyatt sat next to me, our sides touching.

"What's froyo?" I asked him, curious about what he was talking about. He scrunched his brows in concentration.

"Umm, it's..." he looked away. "I don't know. I saw it today when I was in Zombietown. It looks good though." I nodded and leaned my head against his shoulder.

"I hope we find the Moonstone," I said quietly, "We need to." I felt Wyatt nod his head. "What are we going to do tomorrow? How will we find the girl?" I asked him. Wyatt was thoughtful for a second.

"I don't know. Maybe we'll do what Wynter said and track her down with our keen sense of smell." I giggled.

"Tomorrow's going to be interesting," I commented. Wyatt laid his head on top of mine. I closed my eyes, savoring the moment. After a minute I heard soft snores from beside me. Wyatt had fallen asleep. It didn't take him long. I stayed awake for a little longer, listening for the patterns of the night police's steps, mentally keeping track. I was always one to be extra safe.

I finally let myself sleep when Willa woke up, telling me that she'd listen now. I dreamt about the Moonstone being ours.

--------

I felt Wyatt nudge me awake, signaling that morning had come.

"Morning, Wit," he greeted, "How did you sleep?" I mumbled a reply, sleep still with me. Willa turned to us.

"The school is about to open. I can hear people starting to arrive," she told us. "Let's stay hidden until the time is right. We don't want the whole school to know we're here, especially with the anti-monster laws reinstated."

I nodded, awake now. Wyatt and I began listening to the conversations going on outside as the halls started to fill up. Wyatt perked up, obviously sensing something.

"The Great Alpha is near," he told Willa and I. "She's with some other people, a couple of zombies. I can hear them."

I leaned closer to the vent door, catching what the girl and her friends were saying.

"I really thought we'd all be at the Prawn together," I heard the girl say. Their voices got softer as they walked further from us. I strained my ears to listen. We wolves have great hearing, but long distances can be hard sometimes. All I heard after that was mumbling and arguing. It sounded like it was about something called Prawn, whatever that was.
