PERSONALITY: Lionel refuses to show emotion under any circumstances. Ever. The closest thing to emotion he expresses is half, not really there smiles that only people extremely close to him can tell are there. He's rather cold and harsh, being rather blunt whenever he does speak. He doesn't see the point in beating around the bush or hiding the truth. He doesn't lie unless it's about himself or if it's to protect the feelings of someone he cares about. He's rather quiet, not talking much to anyone outside of his small circle of people he trusts. He'd much sooner just cross his arms and glare at someone rather than actually exchange words with them. The emotion he expresses the most often is anger, as anger is the only emotion that he feels is appropriate for a man to express. He can be downright violent when he's angry, especially when he's defending someone he cares about. He isn't afraid to be the first one to throw a punch and he doesn't back down easily. He is extremely protective over the people he cares about and he will protect them and defend them with his last breath. He is physically rather strong and intimidating, so he views it to be his responsibility to defend the people he cares about from other people. He refuses to show so-called "feminine" or "weak" emotions. He refuses to cry in front of anyone ever and he often won't even allow himself to cry when he's alone. He hates being afraid and will often try to convert his fear into anger or he will just disassociate from the situation entirely. He hates being touched by anyone who doesn't give express permission to do so. He often snaps at people who touch him, even accidentally. He rarely allows himself to enjoy traditionally "feminine" things. For example, he actually really enjoys gardening and flowers, but he won't allow himself to partake in gardening activities or allow himself to enjoy flowers because they are often seen as "feminine". A large part of his issues stem from toxic masculinity and the fear that he will be seen as less of a man or as weak if he shows too much emotion or if he enjoys traditionally "feminine" things. He doesn't want to be looked down on. Despite this, he isn't actually sexist in any way and he doesn't hold anyone to these standard of masculinity other than himself. He doesn't look down on women or see them as any less than men and he certainly doesn't believe them to be weaker. He is the way he is and he behaves the way he does mostly due to trauma. 

POWERS: Plant Manipulation and can communicate with the dead 

BACKSTORY: Lionel was raised in the foster system for as long as he can remember, bouncing from foster home to foster home. When he was younger, he was actually much more expressive, sensitive, and emotional, as well as more physically affectionate. When he was thirteen, he was placed in a foster family called the Maddisons. The Maddisons were very loving and kind foster parents, but they had a daughter named Violet who was around his age. At first, Violet and Lionel got along quite well and were actually pretty close, until Violet started abusing Lionel both physically and verbally. She would teasingly bully him about being too emotional, calling him a "pussy" and "not a real man". She would also beat him when she was angry. Despite being physically larger and stronger than Violet, Lionel never retaliated against her because her parents were so kind to him and he didn't want to get kicked out of their home. Violet would also hit on him frequently and put him into sexual situations that he was uncomfortable with. It eventually escalated to full on rape and sexual abuse. Lionel was always too afraid to say no or to force Violet to stop. One day, Violet's parents walked in on Violet raping Lionel, but were unaware that it was nonconsensual and blamed Lionel for the incident, kicking him out. Lionel later tried to explain that he was forced to participate by Violet, but nobody believed him because he was so much physically stronger than her. After that, Lionel refused to tell anyone else about what happened to him out of fear that they wouldn't believe him and would view him as weak. Lionel continued to live in the foster system before being adopted by the Prickett family, who cared for him very much. Lionel became close to the Pricketts' son, who he views as his brother.
