It was a bright and beautiful day in Middle Earth, and I was just about to leave the house to go and get some bread from the store, because my father had asked me to. So I got dressed in a long blue, beautiful dress given to me by my mother, and I grabbed a basket to carry the bread in, once I bought it. I began on the stone path that led to the large bridge over the river, (I love to go to the bridge in my free time and stare at my reflection and wonder about things, but sometimes I would question my identity, I don't know why I do, it's just that my parents never really tell me anything about my past like they're hiding something from me)As I reached the bridge, suddenly a huge army was marching past me, and once i saw their armor, I immediately knew who's army it was, It was the one and only king Thranduil's army. The king was traveling behind his army on his elk, but as he passed me, the strangest thing happened, he glanced at me but then he had to do a doulble take and he looked again at me as if looking for an answer, then our eyes locked and I froze in horror as his icy blue eyes roamed my face and body(Some people at school said that I looked like I was related to our beloved king Thranduil, and others said I looked like his wife who died long ago) I suddenly snapped out of my thoughts, but he was still looking at me, after what felt like hours he finally let out a quiet sigh that almost sounded sad, and he slowly turned and left with his army, still turning around every 5 minutes to look at me.

After I got home from the store with the bread my dad asked for, I kept debating in my head on whether or not I should tell my parents what had happened with the king earlier that day. After an hour of decision making, I decided that I would tell them. It was 7 pm, and I told my parents to sit and that I had something important to tell them. My parents suddenly became worried and began throwing questions at me such as "Are you hurt!" or "Did anyone threaten you!" after 5 minutes of those silly questions i shouted "No! just let me speak" then my parents were quiet and listened. Soon after my parents heard what I said their faces suddenly turned pale, and they both began to tremble, "What is wrong?" I asked nervously, "Should we tell her?" my father whispered to my mother, "I am afraid so, she is old enough to know now" my mother answered with a sigh, "what! no she is not my dear! she is only 100 years old!"(She is about 15 in human years) "Gilrond!"my mother said with a stern look on her face, and then my father became quiet and apologized."Tell me what?" I asked trembling. My father held my hands tighlty and began " My dear.....we...we are not your real parents", "W...What?" was the only thing that I managed to say, other than the tears beginning to build up in my eyes, my mother sighed and said "Your real parents.....or father is..." she took a deep breath "king Thranduil of the Woodland elves" I stood up "What, no, you're lying! how?! stop lying to me!!" My mother began to cry, and my father said "Merildis, please, sit down we will explain everything"
