"Your majesty?"
A voice rang out. Luna moaned in annoyance, and her head finally popped up of the cold, stone floor.
"Princess Luna!" The guard said in relief, as her head shot toward the blue mare.
The guard ran to the princess' assistance, but Luna refused to be helped up.
"I'm fine, Night Watcher. I just fell asleep..." Luna said. She stood up, dizzy and tired.
Night Watcher, the Captain of the Lunar Republic's bat pony troops, still helped Luna up, despite her re-assurement. Night Watcher gave a smile, and the two walked up the stairs.
"What were you doing down there? I informed the guards to watch you at all times, but instead they go off and leave-"
"It's fine, I gave them permission." Luna said sternly.
"Oh... I'm sorry your highness, I had not realized that."
The two ponies climbed the stairs, and finally escaped the room. Luna closed the entrance, and Night Watcher began to leave the room.
"Shall I call in a servant to make bed arrangements?" The bat pony asked.
"It's almost midnight... let them sleep." Luna said.
Night Watcher nodded and left the room.
Luna trotted up to her bed, and tucked herself in. She slipped into the dream realm, were every ponies dreams could be seen.
In the realm, Luna wore her original royal garments, the ones she would wear when her mother and father were around.
The dress was a silk, Greek robe, with a silver moon pin. Her hair was pulled up in a rather fancy bun. Even though the outfit brought back painful memories, they still let Luna relax in the realm.
"I just need to know..." She whispered to herself.
Luna flew through the star-lit realm, and finally she found it, the dream of Celestia. Of course, the entrance was a portal through the sun. Luna took a deep breathe, and leaped into the dream.
The area rippled around her, and the landscape change into a Sun Sanctuary. It was filled with colorful flowers, and around it were lush, green hills, that seemed to go on forever.
A few feet away was Celestia, who was mingling with Twilight and her friends...
"C-Celestia?"
Celestia gasped, and the images of the other ponies rippled away.
Celestia grimaced, and pretended to turn her attention to the Sunflowers.
"Hello, Luna. What brings you here?"
"Celestia... I'm sorry." Luna said, trying to sound as sincere as possible.
"I'm sorry too, Luna..."
Luna let out a smile and a sigh of relief, but her eyes turned shocked as Celestia's angry expression stayed the same.
"I'm sorry, sister. This war changed you..." She let out a sigh. "...and it has changed the way I can trust you."
And with those final words, Celestia flew up, and the dream rippled away.
