"kim taehyung!"
today, this breezy day, those three words of a name are finally sung.
ah, how jimin missed calling this name.
"park jimin!"
and just like that, they let the other's voice soak in, their eyes meet in a way that none would ever turn away. no more waiting, jimin runs into taehyung's open arms and fits perfectly in his embrace due to a moderate height difference between them. they drown in each other's smile, one that always grows inside their soul and shines through their eyes.
"you look uglier. were you suffering from my absence?" taehyung ruffles the shorter's hair as he scans over his face.
"jackass," jimin snorts. "for your information, life is at its best right now." taehyung lifts an eyebrow as his response, wondering what could be the reason behind his friend's confidence. "i...got a girl." the anthropologist scratches his head shyly.
"like, a doll? pervert jerk." taehyung throws a scornful look at his friend and immediately receives a hit in the arm; jimin tends to defend himself aggressively when it comes to being teased by taehyung. "then, you mean a girlfriend?" asks the former anthropologist.
"not...really a 'girlfriend', more like a crush." jimin holds his chin while reckoning his relationship with seulgi. the taller's face brightens upon the announcement. "that's still a big move for someone who has no emotions towards women like you." says taehyung proudly as he pats jimin's shoulder.
their friendship is like this, like the sunshine that sometimes lights up one's gloomy darkness, sometimes beats the hell out of one's eyes. yet that is what a best friend who truly loves you does after all.
"jimin!" another voice echoed in the train station, one so soft that pours honey to the ears. jimin beams brightly as he rushes towards the approaching woman, kindly carrying her bags for her. "joohyun noona! how are you doing?" he asks, welcoming her in a hug which she returns with her warm embrace as well.
"jimin's got a wife, bae." taehyung interrupts the conversation as he naturally throws his arms around both his friend's and wife's shoulder. the anthropologist clicks his tongue while glaring at his tall friend. "don't believe him, noona. i just have someone in mind at the moment."
joohyun shrieks excitedly, clapping her hands in joy. she is happy for her old friend who is known to have never laid an eye on any woman before. truth be told, both her and her husband had sometimes legit thought jimin was gay and how that could've been a huge loss for women. it is a relief that their conspiracy was wrong.
"anyways, let's go to my apartment! i have cancelled today's work just for you two." says jimin as he starts heading to the parking lot, followed by the married couple. the woman awes, she feels quite guilty for wasting the younger's precious time.
"that's his excuse to take a day off, don't be fooled, bae." grabbing joohyun by her waist, taehyung casually mocks jimin which brings him a dead glare from the anthropologist. the taller laughs at how this friend of his hasn't changed at all, easily teased, and dedicated fully to his friends. truth be told, if it weren't for the shorter, taehyung wouldn't want to be back here in seoul; hence though quite out of reach, jimin is the only one he truly came to see, that he seriously wish they were brothers.
and now he is ridiculously eager to meet jimin's woman as well.
