You know how people blow off candles on their cakes after making wishes? I've been wondering why that was. Well, I decided that once you blow off the fire, the smoke turn into smoke ghosts and they dedicate their lives to making your wishes come true, since the smoke disappear after a while, that means the smoke ghosts are now striving to make your dreams come true. They have one year to do that, until your next birthday. If they achieve your dreams, they get to die in peace, otherwise, they will die sadly and give all their hopes to the next set of smoke ghosts so they could make your wishes come true.
Oh, and each candle represents one smoke ghost, so technically, the older you are, the more likely that your wishes come true.
