4: Bananas, Chocolate, and Crepes

I looked at my reflection on the mirror feeling satisfied with my look.

I was having a hard time earlier choosing between a silver Versace two-piece dress from my sister or a deep red Saint Laurent dress suit.

Then I finally settled on the dress suit. My sister, Yuna helped me with my hair and make up. And I sped off with my car not wanting to be late for the dinner.

I made it to the venue on time, fortunately. I went inside and was met by sparkling chandeliers, and people on suits. "Hello, Ms. Yoon" I was welcomed by a high pitched voice.

"Good evening Ms. Min, you look lovely!" I complimented.

"Thank you, I would say the same to you, Bora" she beamed.

"Thanks, Lia" I replied. "Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go!" I added.

"Oh, you should head first I'm still going to welcome some guests.". " Oh, okay. I'll go ahead." I waved at her.

Lia and I have been friends since the day we met through Mr. Ji. He is a candidate on the presidential election. And I am working for his party.

Lia helps me get through a lot of pressure during the campaign period. That is why we became close in a short amount of time.

After a while, everyone arrived as well as the other party. The dinner started with a blessing and speeches of thanks from both parties.

The main course meals were served on our long table. After main course was over, almost everyone on the table left, to go get dessert.

While most of them went for fresh fruits, I went for my favorite.

Crepes. Chocolate banana crepes.

Just thinking of it already makes me drool.

I went to the crepes station thinking that I will be the only one lining up.

When I neared the station I saw a tall guy wearing a blue, matte suit and a white flannel on the inside.

When he turned around I was met with a familiar face. Slender face, a prominent nose and glossy lips. Ohhh..

"Good evening Mr. Kim." I smiled.

"Good evening. You must be Ms. Yoon, you are Mr. Ji's campaign manager." He stated.

"Oh, yes" I replied. He smirked, I looked down and saw what he was holding.

"Chocolate banana crepes." I spoke out loud. " What was that?", He asked and looked down. "Oh, these. Would you like them?" He offered.

"No-, it's fine. I was just going to get those too." I said nervously.

"Okay, if you say so. Nice to meet you Ms. Yoon." He waved bye. "Pleased to meet you too Mr. Kim." I beamed.

I looked down and saw a handkerchief, and it says Kim Namjoon. I immediately took it and looked for the said guy. But it seems he already had gone.

So, I went to enjoy my chocolate banana crepes for the rest of the night. And planned on giving the handkerchief back the day after.
