"Good morning, South Korean citizens! This is Lee Hansung and Ri Jihan, of Korea News, serving you the latest news. Counting of votes for all positions are still on going. Here are updates and tallies of votes as of the moment." I heard the news reporters as they go over a series of numbers representing the number of votes as of the moment.

Names of political personalities were heard as well as the current number of votes. As I was just finishing my breakfast, my name was mentioned, followed by my current votes.

Mr. Ji was currently leading the votes. But, I was positive all of my team and I's hard work wasn't for nothing.

So, I continued updating with the news, while talking to some colleagues on the phone.

And received a call from my mom who was non-stop chattering about how she was watching the news attentively, and how our neighbors were supporting me.

A wave of relief instantly filled my body knowing about that.

I felt my eyelids starting to droop. Until, I unconsciously fell asleep.

Constant ringing from my phone, woke me up from my deep slumber. I took it and answered the call without looking at the caller id.

"Hello?" I sleepily said, followed by a soft yawn. "Namjoon, where were you? Why weren't you picking up? Turn your television on, right now!" My mom commanded.

"Mom I just fell asleep,ok? And the T.V.'s already on."

"Well, aren't you hearing what the news is saying?" I suddenly realized that the volume was turned down. And saw that I was sitting on the remote.

I didn't notice that.

"Wait mom, I'm turning the volume up. I accidentally lowered it while I was sleeping." I muttered.

"Good evening everyone! All voting ballots were already counted. And the committee already has the results. We are going to start with the lower positions." The news started to flash the screen with the names of the chosen officials, and their vote percentage.

The front door of my house suddenly opened, and revealed my uncle who was carrying a box of-what I assume is-cake.

"I'm just in time." My uncle announced as he walked in and closed the door.

"Good morning to you too uncle. And what's that you're holding?" I asked, pointing to the rectangular object.

"It's a cake to celebrate your win." He said in a matter of fact tone.

"I haven't even won." I commented.

"Yet. Always believe in yourself Namjoon, because I believe in you." He said seriously.

I smiled at what he said, and a boost of confidence filled within me.

That's why I am fond of my uncle so much, because he always fills the spot where my father should be.

My uncle, Min Seong was a politician when he was my age, and served for almost a decade. He also inspired me to enter public service.

"Thank you, uncle." I sincerely said.

"Of course. So what's the news?" He asked, switching the topic.

"They're about to announce it." My uncle and I focused on the T.V..

"Majority of the public voted for....."

And I was shocked.
