remedy - levi x reader

6. stay

     levi follows the female titan as she runs away. he won't let her slip past this time. she killed his squad. now he has no squad, no best friends, no family, no nothing. he could've saved them all. he really could've. if only he didn't listen to commander erwins orders and came straight to his squad instead. they could've all been saved. the female titan noticed levi following her, so she tries to grab his odm gear wires, but levi was to quick for that. he flew on a tree branch so she wouldn't be able to get him. she then continues to run off. then, all of a sudden, someone comes up behind the titan and slices both of her ankles so she wouldn't be able to run anymore. "damnit mikasa, i told you to stay!" levi thought. the female titan then backed up and sat against a tree while holding her nape. levi took this opportunity to slice the muscles on her arms so she wouldn't cover her nape, but it seems like mikasa already beat him to it. "damn shes fast." levi says. "she reminds me of-" levi stops mid sentence as he realized something. that person was NOT mikasa. not at all. this person was around his height. their hood was on. and the fighting skills were familiar. his eyes widen in shock as he realizes who it might be. "EHYAH!" the person screams everytime they sliced the titan. they were fast, yet delicate. as the titan was distracted by the person, levi took the chance to slice its jaw open only to reveal eren. he then grabs eren and jumps on a tree branch to watch what the person is gonna do next. the person then quickly sliced the nape. she was so quick that the titan had no time to crystallize their nape. the person sliced the nape open and ripped out the person inside. they took the girl out and then rushed away. they rushed away to where commander erwin was located. levi followed after them, curious if that is really the person he thinks they are. the person arrived to the horses where commander erwin was located. the person slowly walked over to him. "here." they say as they hand over annie leonhart. a strand of hair was visible. erwin stares at the person in shock. it was really you! the girl who went missing three years ago! levi stares in shock as he drops eren and runs over to hug you. mikasa made a "tch." and ran over to eren. he missed you. so much. he was so happy to finally see you again. "y-y/n!" levi yells as he hugs you and cries. surprisingly enough, you weren't hugging back. the whole time you were just staring down with your hood over your head and mask over your nose and mouth. the only thing everybody could see was your e/c. you were definitely upset. you just saw your best friend dead against a tree. your childhood friend. the one thats been with you since day one. she's gone. first your brother, then your mother, and then now your best friend. you didn't know what to feel. you weren't crying, but nor were you smiling. you had the same emotionless expression you had three years ago when you killed that titan.

     "you're still alive!" levi says in joy as they all stare at you in the meeting room. at least he got something good out of today. you still weren't showing emotion. your eyes were dull from all of the sadness you caged up. you had dark circles under your eyeballs from what you've witnessed today. your facial expression changed when the meeting room started to get packed with more cadets. you were told to sit down.

"recruits! today i have brought you here, to talk about something. or rather someone. their name is y/n l/n" you stand up as you hear your name and put your right hand over your chest.
"i thought she got eaten or something?" a cadet says. your eyes avert to the person with a cold stare. they then stare at you in fear and look the other way. "she was one of our strongest soldiers out there. today i have brought you here to ask l/n some questions." erwin says. you sit back down.
"so l/n, where have you been these past 3 years?" he asks. you stay silent. "..."
"alrighty then, next question. what caused you to disappear?" he asks. you stay silent again. he sighs, "alright. next question. were you the one killing the titans by yourself?" he asks. this time you answered. "yes." you answered rather blatantly. they all stared at her in shock. "so it was her this whole time?" "how did she take all of them down? it seems like she has gotten no injuries from it." they all thought. levi stared in shock. shes been near them this whole time and he never seen her? "okay now may you answer my other previous questions?" erwin asked. "no." you answered. "why not?" he asks in slight shock from your quick short answer. you stay silent again. "this whole time she could've visited me.. this whole time she could've came back... but she didn't! why not?!" levi thought as he grew frustrated from her silence. levi then got up. he took her by the shoulders and pulled her up as well. "why do you have to keep everything a secret now?! i thought we were best friends! i thought we could tell each other everything!" levi yelled at her as he kept his grip on her shoulders. she still was silent. "why?!" he yelled at her. "because. and the answers shouldn't matter anyways. so they're not really a secret you would care about." she says to levi with a cold face. "oh yeah? well if i wouldn't care about it, then why don't you show your face!" as he said that he takes off your hood and mask in front of everybody. everybody stares at her with wide eyes. even levi. her long hair sprouts out. she has pure black hair with purple streaks going down. she has wispy curtain bangs and a scar going down on the left side of her lip. she had a pretty slim face, with pink perfectly sized lips. "shes beautiful." they all thought. y/n stares at levi in shock. that shock soon turned into an angry expression as she slaps levi in the face. she then runs out of the meeting room in complete anger. "why would he do somthing like that?!" y/n thought as she ran out the doors. levi stares at her silhouette in shock. he can't believe he just did that. he feels like he just broke all of her trust. what has gotten into him? he then excused himself out of the meeting room and went looking for y/n. he's so scared of losing her again. he wants her trust back. he wants her to stay. thats what he's been wanting for so long. he can't mess it up again. he can't let her get away again.
