you and the rest had found out historias and erens stay. it was underneath the reiss chapel.
"i can't wait to beat all their asses!" connie says as you guys ride your horses to the destination.

meanwhile...

eren pov:
i woke up chained up against the wall. it's bright in here.. where am i? as my vision clears and i look around i notice i'm pretty high up on something. i'm touching the surface but theres more beneath me... i hear chattering...

historia pov:
"historia. this injection contains something only the reiss family have known about... its a serum that can turn a subject of ymir into a titan. titans can inherit anothers power if they are eaten by them. it is your job as a reiss member to take the injection and eat eren." at that moment i glanced at erens form. he had awoken. i had to eat him? me and eren werent the closest but.. i never thought badly of him. the thought of eating someone i knew and trust is.. skeptical.. but if the words are from my dad then it must happen. i'm sorry, eren.

i have met someone named kenny. i believe this is the guy we were running from...

third pov:
as rod reiss brung the injection closer to historia, she came to a realization. her family, who have all turned into titans, have died.. and somehow her father isn't a titan yet? he has the serum in his hands right now. why has he never used it on himself? is he trying to get rid of the reiss family..? she had also realized that he wanted her to eat her friend. he wanted her to destroy humanity. that's not what she wanted. joining the scouts made her realize how much danger humanity is in..

"no! i will not let you turn me into a titan!" historia yells as she smacks the injection away from her, making it drop to the floor breaking after making contact. "no!" rod reiss yells as he jumps to the floor starring at the broken serum in horror. she then grabs his keys out of his pockets and runs towards eren.
"what are you doing?!?!" eren yells as tears come out of his eyes. "just leave me here.. i don't deserve to live... i'm... i'm just a burden to all of y-"
"i'm freeing you, now stop being a crybaby and stay still!" historia interrupted him.

y/n pov:
we had finally arrived at the chapel. it felt like forever. i hear a loud yawn behind me. it was sasha. "phew! that was a long ride! i'm tired..." she says as she puts her hands up to stretch in the air. we made our way down underground, making sure we were as quiet as possible. we looked through and saw kenny and his crew keeping a lookout. 'seems like they expected us, huh.' i thought. we then threw a smoke bomb. (sorry y'all i lowkey forgot what happened in some of these scenes just bare with me). we then quickly made our way inside and attacked. we used our odm gears to get around on the poles. it seems as if they have guns, when we have blades. this was probably going to be a tough fight. i make my way to the nearest enemy and slice his body. wow, i've never killed someone before. this felt.. wrong but.. right? i saw levi chasing after a few and mikasa slaughtering as fast as she could. i made my way to the next nearest target and attempted to slash her neck, but it seems as i was too slow. she quickly shot a bullet at my shoulder and i wince in pain. "agh!" i yell as i fall. as i was waiting for the impact of the floor and me, i feel strong arms take me into theirs. "captain wouldn't be so happy with me if i just let you fall like that, now would he?" jean says as he looks down at me with a slight smirk. i blushed a bit at his words. was i growing feels for the captain again? nonsense. i had more important things to focus on more than men. i felt myself being placed gently onto the grass. when did we get up here? i guess i was too focused on what he said. he ended up treating my wound. "you're gonna have to stay up here with hange until we're done. we can't risk having you guys more hurt than you already are." jean exclaimed and made his way back in. 'wait, hange?' i thought. i looked over to my side to see a sleeping hange, with a bloody head. "oh my god..." i say as i stare at her condition. 'this is worse than my injury..' i thought as i went back to staring at the sky. it was a nice day. but it was definitely not a nice day to be fighting.

levi pov:
i was in the middle of chasing kenny, only to realize i cannot see y/n. 'is she hurt?' i wonder. i was too lost in thought to realize kenny shot a bullet at me. good thing i was quick enough to miss it.

third pov:
rod reiss crawls on the floor, slowly making his way to the spilled serum. "n-no..." he says. as he got there, he stuck out his tongue and took a lick. just a lick of the serum made the man transform. right there was a new titan. levi and the rest had made their way to where historia and eren were. "you guys!" eren yelled as they made their approach. they were all backed up against the wall. they had so little time until they were to be eaten by the titan in front of them. "what do we do?" eren asks in horror. "thats for you to figure out, titan boy." jean says in irritation. "me? why me? i don't know what to do... we could all be eaten right now.. because of me!" eren screams in fear. jean gave him an unamused look. "emphasis on the titan boy." "you really think eren could take that titan down in his titan form? that titan is like 20x the size of erens titan form." levi explains. all of their faces turned into serious ones when they realized they had to really think now. eren looked at them, and then around them. he saw a small little object right between the feet of jean and connie. "titan hardening?" he read outloud. "huh?" connie asked confused. eren then rushed to take the small item and made his way to bite it when suddenly, "no, don't do it." mikasa says sternly. eren ignored her and bit it anyway. he then transformed. they all stared at him in horror, not knowing what was gonna happen to them after that. just as quick as that, erens titan form hardened around levi and the others. they took note to see that eren was protecting them from getting hurt. mikasa then hurriedly made her way up to the hardened nape of his titan form and pulled him out.

levi pov:
"captain, lets go!" sasha yells to me as i stood there. "you guys go on ahead. i have some things to do here." i respond. she then nods and makes her way back up to where the others went. i then fixated my eyes onto the titan before me. the person inside is who we needed to capture. i could just get him right now. i used my odm gear and swung at its joints. he may still be forming but i wanna make sure he can't move at all. i go for his arm muscles, leg muscles, and foot muscles. i then make my way up to land on his nape. "oi. you're really causing a lot of trouble. not just for the scouts, but for everybody in the walls as well. might as well do my job and get rid of the problem. oh wait. i think thats the military polices job... oh well, they're not doing a good job at it anyways. now, do you mind if i just steal y-" i wasnt able to finish my sentence when i saw the titans hand raising up to grab me. "how did they heal that fast?!?!" i thought. i knew i had no time to get away. i closed my eyes waiting for my fate, when suddenly a pair of arms roughly grab me away. i open my eyes only to see that its...

she brings me up to the surface and puts me down. immediately after that, she takes her hand and smacks me hard across the face. "oi! what the hell was that for?!?!" i ask as i touch the stinging feeling on my right cheek. "you bastard! don't ever scare me like that again! you're so ruthless! even eren knows better than you!" she yells at me with tears at the corner of her eyes. 'wait.. she.. she cares for me? she still cares for me even after what i did?' i thought. i then take that moment to engulf her into a nice, warm embrace. "i-i'm sorry. i guess i wasn't thinking good enough. i promise it'll never happen again." i say to her as i dig my head into her shoulder. she smelt like... blood? i quickly release the hug to take a look at where i was just sniffing. white gauze was wrapped around her shoulder and under her armpit with a little bit of blood seeping through. i stare at it in shock. she seemed to take notice of my actions and said, "it's just one bullet. i'm fine, don't wor-" i didn't let her finish her sentence as i roughly grab her and pull her into another embrace. "i-i'm sorry i- i wasn't able to s-save you. i should've looked a-after y-" "levi! i said i am fine! you almost got eaten! you could've had it worse!" she yells as she squeezes me hard. more tears came out of my eyes. she released the hug and wiped my tears with her fingers. i feel a dark blush come to my cheeks and i turn away. i hear her snicker a bit before saying, "now c'mon, lets go back." she takes my hand to lift me up. as we make our way to our horses, we see the reiss titan crawling in the direction we were supposed to head to. "i guess he's headed for the walls.." she said with a sigh. i couldn't care less about that though... 'she cares about me!' i thought in excitement. it feels like things are going back to normal. like how they used to be. i'm glad. this is all i ever wanted. i'm excited to see what the future will hold for me. for us.
