8. happy

you were currently in an abandoned building along with connie, sasha, mikasa, and levi. the military police are after eren jeager and historia reiss. they are killing the innocent just for eren and historia. jean and armin were disguised as them. jean being eren and armin being historia. the real eren and historia were in a closed carriage waiting for the mission to be a success.

"aren't you a cute little girl?" a man asked as armin or "historia" fell uncomfortable in his seat. him and jean were currently tied to chairs as three men inspect them. armin shifts in his seat due to one of the men touching him in ways. the mans hands touched armins shoulders as he slowly went down to more inappropriate areas. jean just watched in fear as he watched armin getting harassed by men.
"3...2...1... GO" levi said as you all bursted through the windows of the building jean and armin were currently being held. you take the man closest to armin and elbowed him in the throat while kicking him in the stomach. "gAH!" the man screams as blood coughs out his mouth. you take your blade and swiftly slice his neck. yes, you guys were KILLING just to keep everyone safe. you patiently watched as the others took down the rest of the men as connie releases armin and jean from the chairs.

historia and eren were anxiously waiting inside the carriage when suddenly two military police take down their driver and bust through the carriage to take them away. they place them onto their own carriage and tie them up so they can't move. they put duck tape over their mouths so theyre not loud. "MMMMPH!" eren screams.

"EREN!" mikasa yells as she tries to make her way over to him. the driver quickly put a needle into historia and eren to make them fall asleep, which that only angered mikasa more. she was about to use her odm gear to make her way over there but someone grabs a hold of her waist to stop her. "don't try. it's not worth it." levi says as mikasa tries to resist.

we were currently walking through the woods trying to find a certain important person. they know where historia and eren were taken to. although you guys had a different plan right now. you knew you guys would be followed by military police. "armin. go to the stream and act like you're trying to get water. keep your hood on. when they come over to you, face them and put your hands up. me and mikasa will jump down and hold them in place as connie and sasha tie them up. levi will give them a good talking to. jean....." you stopped your sentence when you realized you had nothing left to the plan. "uh.. you can just look out and see if any others were following." jean scoffs "fine."

"freeze! put your hands up!" marlo says as he spots someone getting water at the stream. hitch is right behind him pointing her gun towards him. marlo doing the same. the mysterious person turns around and puts their hands up. "AGGH!" marlo yells as you come down to grab a hold of him. mikasa doing the same to hitch. sasha and connie then quickly come over to tie them up. "put your guns down." levi says while holding his blades towards them. they put their guns down immediately. "why were you following us?" levi asks. marlo stares in shock for a couple seconds at levi. "how were they able to get us???" marlo thought. "u-uh orders from b-boss sir!" marlo says as he tries to get himself together. hitch just stares in shock and fear. then she speaks up and says, "you people... you might think you're all heroes of justice, but the victims and their families were dropped straight into hell!" "yeah i know." levi replies. she scoffs before she continues. "you three... you're from the southern cadet corps, yeah? just like annie leonhart. were you friends of hers?" jean, mikasa, and armin all stare at her witha straight face. "no... i doubt she had any friends. being as gloomy and aloof as she was." she says as she stares down at the stream. "its like she was a kid afraid of other people... i never got the chance to know anything about her. and the reason they still haven't found her... is because she was pulverized by a titan into a puddle of jelly!" "no.." levi began, "because the titan in hiding was... annie leonhart herself." marlo and hitches eyes both went wide as they stare at levi in shock. "goddamnit. it makes me sick." levi says as he looks to the side. "nobody knows a damn thing about this world... not us or anyone else. except for those bastards at the center of it all. we'll release you both as soon as we get out of here." levi said. marlo and hitch both look away still in shock from the news they were just told. "annie was a titan??" they both thought. "annie was..." hitch began but was soon interrupted by marlo. "captain levi! please let me help you! i don't think what you guys are doing is wrong! if i can help correct this worlds injustice, i'll do whatever it takes!" "whats with this guy?" you say outloud. "i beg of you, captain levi!" marlo pleads. "not a chance." levi began. "i can't tell how prepared you are about making an enemy of the government." he says as he walks further away. "lets go." he says to everyone. "sasha, tie them up somewhere nearby." you say. "yes ma'am!" she says as she runs near them.

as levi was about to walk past jean, he spoke up. "captain." levi stops in his tracks as he was called. "please let me do it." levi stares back at him. "knock yourself out." levi says as he continues walking ahead.

jean tags along behind hitch and marlo with a knife in his hand as he makes sure they don't run away. their hands are tied together in case they ever tried to attempt to use weapons. "stop." jean says. they both listen and stop in their tracks. "we'll forget what we saw here." jean says as they both turn around to face him. "yeah we will! because both of you will die here!" jean says with crazy eyes as he flares out his knife. hitch and marlo stiffen. hitch grabs onto marlos arm as he waves his hands in front of his face. "thats not what he said!" marlo tries to explain. "letting you two run free is too dangerous. i'll take it apon myself to kill you!" "please, believe us! we know you guys are fighting to try and save humanity! right, hitch?" marlo yells in panic as his hands were still in front of him. "mmm, mmm!" hitch says in frantically in panic while repeatedly nodding her head up and down. "as if i could trust you. especially you, mr. bowl cut. who in their right mind would cut their hair like that? you'll get no sympathy from this guy." he says as he charges at them with his knife, but didn't end up getting to them due to tripping on a rock. as he fell he let go of his knife and it fell right in front of them. marlo then takes his tied up hands to get the knife on the floor. "hitch, run!" he yells as he quickly took a glance at her and then back to jean. "tch!" jean says as he quickly makes his way back up and takes marlos tied hands pinning them above him. "my gun is faster, yknow." jean says as he stares at marlo. "wanna take your chance?" hitch then makes a run for it at that moment. "your knife and my gun... lets race!" jean says as he pushes marlos hands further up. "wait! i'm really your ally!" "why the hell would anyone want to believe you'd wanna join us? we're so severely outmatched, you really think we can save humanity?" jean asks. "then, why are you..." marlo began. "why are you still with the scouts then?" jeans eyes widing just a bit. "i picked the wrong regiment to join. as long as you guys have it in you to risk your lives and keep fighting... i will trust you." marlo says as he stares down at jean and throws away the knife. jean stares in shock. that shock was soon turned into pain as he was hit by a baseball bat. "hitch!" marlo yells. "you damn horse face!" she yells. "wait, hitch! he was just testing us!" marlo explains as she jumps in front of hitch so she can't hit jean. "huh?!" she yells in confusion. "hey, you." marlo began, "what would you have done if i swung the knife at you? why did you trust me so much?" "somehow or another, you remind me of a guy that i hate. a damn idiot." marlos eyes widen a bit before he began to speak. "this idiot... is it the same one annie talked about?" jeans eyes widen as he still lays on the ground. "hell if i know." he began as he sat back up. "everyone's an idiot." marlo puts his hand out to help jean back up and he gladly accepts it.

meanwhile, you and the rest were still continuing forward. "its kinda quiet. where's that knucklehead jan? jean? joon?" you ask out of boredom. sasha and connie let out a laugh at your attempts trying to remember his name. "i let him watch over hitch and marlo. he's probably messing with them back there." levi says as he faces you while you guys continue walking. you look back at him and give him a small smile. he could tell because your mask stretched a little. his cheeks turn pink as he quickly faces to look the other way. he just wants all of the nonsense to be gone. he wants everything to be fine so he can just hang out with you.

"are we almost there?" you ask levi as you yawn. it was already dark out and you guys had been walking for hours. "almost." levi says as he continues to walk and stare straight ahead. as you yawn again you feel yourself getting sleepy. without realizing it, you had held levis arm and leaned against it while still walking. levi blushes a deep shade of pink. he didn't bother to shove her off. it felt nice. although he didn't show it, he was actually happy. she hasn't touched him at all in a couple years. he missed this a lot. he hopes your finally opening up more, so it'll be easier and faster for you guys to be friends again.
