Long ago, in the world of Gravendell, when times were different, there existed five continents. Dedrall was home of the hulking Kredillos, with large muscles but small brains. Geograx was the habitat of the sly Lanaris, world renowned for their smithies and the products that they created. Abeon is the centre of the wise Novine, renowned for more arcane pursuits.
Ignis is where you can find the vehement Anine, a race known for their fiery temper.
Finally, Bluaros, the homeland of the calm Yonret, masters of the water.
The Kredillos were bulky human look-alikes with massive arms and an innocent face. Their average height started at eight foot. They could tear up an iron pole into tiny pieces and eat it for breakfast. Unfortunately, their intelligence was inferior to those of the other races.
The Lanaris were small, even for humans. They had a normal human looking face, and some of them were more beautiful than humans. They were cunning and clever, and the masters of blackmailing. To add to that attribute, they had the power of shapeshifting. They could turn into anything they wanted, but only when they saw it.
Novines were of normal human height and had the strength of humans. They were so like humans that you could have married one and never have suspected that they practised the Dark Arts and Witchcraft of the utmost level. Old Novines could tell prophecies, and rarely were the prophecies wrong.
Anines were fiery humans, and preferred to sleep in a volcano than in a normal bed. Their arms and feet could turn into balls of fire when they wanted, and if they got angry enough they would go on a rampage and become impossible to stop. But when they were in a good mood, they could be really agreeable and cooperative.
The Yonrets were completely the opposite of the Ignises. They could sleep in a normal bed or at the bottom of the sea if they pleased. Their legs would transform into a mermaid's tail when they were in water. They were calm, collected, very peaceful, and friendly. The Yonrets were the most gorgeous and elegant out of the five races, and they prided themselves in that aspect. They could manipulate water, breathe underwater, and stir up entire whirlpools when they were furious, which was not often.
The ruler of Gravendell was Emperor Klevis Delacruz, a cruel and all-powerful leader. It was known as a fact that if you managed to annoy him enough, he would have you chopped into a million pieces, burn your remains and issue a royal command to torture your future generations, hunt them down and give them the same fate that you had been given. People were scared and angry at his command but they all trembled at the power of the Great Emperor. Rumours were that he was a hybrid, but no one had ever been able to guess which kind of hybrid he was. His only known power was his muscles, and the Emperor never gave his people a chance to see his second power because he would let his guards do all the work for him. Everyone wished for him to be dead, but they knew it was futile. Until that day, though, they continued to live in despair and subjugation.
