"You know I hear it too. Your denial is not healthy."
Those where my mother's words. I do hear the thunderous beats. The sound taunting me into sleepless nights. I'd wished for many things in my life. A loving mate who worships the ground I walk on and I his too, a beautiful family which I can call my own and lastly thriving in my discipline of work but the beat shattered every single one all because of one lie. A simple lie which could have been avoided at the very beginning now my denial had brought me here. Standing in front of Mosa who is spotting a displeased look. She handed me the file shaking her head in a disapproving manner.
"This isnt necessary." I'll be the judge of what I necessary. I wanted to shout but the words were caught in my throat. Opening the file, two words caught my attention, two words. Three weeks.
Mosa was about to speak out on the outcome when I up and left with determination of my new task.
"Don't do anything I wouldn't do." Mosa shouted but my willpower to achieve my task surpassed all reasoning. Still in my scrubs I headed to the pack house rage evident on my face while dragging my baseball bat. Seeing my expression people were getting out of my way afraid of getting the wrath of my anger. Yes people, I'm about to fuck that bitch up.
When I reached the office, Maggie tried stopping me.
"Maggie if you don't get out of my way I'm gonna fuck you up. NOW MOVE!" I said with so much venom and for her own sake moved. When I entered, three people excluding him where in a meeting but I didn't care. I charged at him with my bat hitting as hard as I could but with his leathery tough skin I knew I didn't affect him. "You piece of shit. You had me doubting all this time but you knew all along." By now I was swinging aimlessly with tears ran down my face. At one point I lost my balance and fell. Before hitting the floor he caught me, laid me down and hovered over me while restraining my hands in his. "You fucken devil. Get the fuck off me. I need to hit you in the head."
"Calm down."
"Calm down? Calm down? You know I was in denial for the longest time and I was fine until I heard it the first time. I thought I was going crazy but a few days later my mom heard it too. I shut that conversation immediately because it would become reality but today I just had to find out."
"Find out what?"
"I'm three weeks pregnant."
"EVERYONE GET OUT OF MY OFFICE." He shouted using his alpha tone. I even forgot people were in his office but he did not get up from me. We heard the door shut and he returned his gaze to me. "You're pregnant?"
"I know you can hear the heartbeat so don't ask stupid questions."
"The day you fainted..."
"Since I'm carrying an Alpha King's child, the first day after conceiving, the foetus takes so much energy from the mother, it wears them out. GET THE FUCK OFF ME KENOSI. Get off of me." I shouted.
"Calm down Kitso."
"Get off me." I struggled until I began seeing white spots. My vision became blurry, the white spots more violent and finally relief arrived and I saw black.
I woke up to a heavy arm around me. From its heaviness and when I examined it, the masculinity, Im assuming its a male. The problem is the feeling of comfort and contentment the arm brought. I didn't feel threatened nor ashamed that a strange man is laying behind me. I turned and to see the most beautiful man on this planet and the next. His facial structure strong and beard inviting to be caressed. My fingers were tingling to weaving through it. complexion loud enough to be known he's a strong black beautiful man. Wow this man is beautiful.
