'What a day'

The rest of the day went a hell lot better than the first period. But where ever I went people would look at me and then start to whisper. I even heard one girl say, "Look that's the girl that scraped it out with Derek Materazzi. I heard tat he even picked her up and hung her upside down with his bear hands!" I was right, I would feel like an odd ball.

But I went to my second class I met a girl named Lita. She was gorgeous, she was hilarious like no other person I'd ever met. She had long blonde hair and light green eyes. She was very tall, she was probably half an inch taller than me. But she had curves. She was so kind and sweet. Even though I was the new girl she treated me like I've been here since junior year. We had lunch together and we got to know one another. I told her which town I came from and how my life was before Coldwater Hills. I also got to know a little bit about her self, like her family and other friends. She wasn't the most popular girl (which surprised me!) but she has other good friends that she introduced me to. I have a pretty good feeling that I'm going to be really good friends with Lita.

At the end of the day my mom came to pick me up. When I opened the car door and got in the passenger's seat I said, "What a day!" "Well how'd it go?" my mom asked me. "It was exhausting. The first period I got into a fight with the boy that lives next to us. He's such an ass whole! He has such an ego like no other. And the worst part... he's my chemistry partner!" I exclaimed to my mom. "I knew there was something up with him I thought he was more of the quiet mysterious type. What's his name?" she asked. I replied, "Nope apparently he's the school's bad boy and most of the kids say he's the town's bad boy! And his name is Derek Materazzi."
"Materazzi? Is that Italian or something? Anyway did anything else happen with him?" she asked. I didn't want to tell her about how he turned me upside down or that he poured the beaker with liquid on top of me. She would have gotten more concerned and filled a report on him. So I just decided to let it go an not say a word.

"No, nothing else happened with him. But I did meet a couple of new people thanks to a girl I met. Her name is Lita Oliviera, she's so kind and hilarious and gorgeous. She's also very tall I think she's half an inch taller than me," I told my mom. She said, "Wow she seems very nice. Much better than that Derek kid." "Trust me she is. She said that we could sit together during lunch and hang out."

"Well good for you Malia. I'm happy that you made new friends. But all I have to say is, stay away from Derek as best as possible. You don't want to be associated with people who cause trouble, and that are bad boys. And I know that he's your partner but after your chemistry class and after school hours you stay away from him. I've seen this guy in the neighbour hood he seems like the kind of guy who hides secrets. The kind of guy who lies without flinching. I'm not saying don't be mean and don't talk to him. All I'm saying is don't be associated to this guy so much," she told me with such a kind yet serious look in her eyes. I told her, "Don't worry I want nothing to do with Derek!"
