Malia's POV

"Wait, what?" I'm so confused and hurt right now. "Listen, what I am about to tell you will change everything." He paused, "Malia, everything is about to change." He said every word with meaning and warning. I don't know if I want to hear this.. I know the risk but I need to know the truth of my father's death. "I'm ready."

He began, "When I was thirteen I got myself into some serious messed up shit. It's when my whole life changed. But it changed for the worst. I got myself into gang fights, drugs and even deaths." He let out a sigh, "One of my "mission's" was to go into a pharmacy and gather as much drugs and pills as I could. But that day something changed."

Derek's flash back and POV

I was so tired from all the fighting I had done last night. I got into a gang fight with BDL. But today my "boss" -well that's what the whole team and I call him- wanted me to come to 'Markus' Drug Mart' and gather as much pills as I could. And the funny thing is I'm doing a job for a man that I don't even know. Let alone know his name, we only call him "The Boss".

I walked through every aisle in the pharmacy and gathered one of every each box of pills. I had put so many different brands of pills in my "gym bag" such as: Salential Pills, Ecstasy (but the medical one), Sleep Peacefully, Tylenol, Advil and much more!

I reached the last aisle and I saw a girl about my age. She was the most prettiest girl I had ever seen. Absolutely beautiful!
I walked a little closer to her as I looked up and down her body. I was about to say 'hi' when I suddenly stopped because I felt a hand on my shoulder.

"Easy there Materazzi. That's my daughter you're about to go flirt with."
I turned to see the man who was talking to me and it was a male pharmacist who looked like he was in his thirties. I immediately pulled out my switch blade to his throat. But he didn't seem scared or surprised. I pushed him against a wall and said,

"How the fuck do you know my name?"
"Well I know all the names of my workers." I looked at him angrily/confused, "What? I don't even fucken work here. I'm thirteen!"
"I can see that. And I wasn't talking about this job, I was talking about 'The Rippers'."

I suddenly froze at the name of my gang, "The Rippers." I looked up at him with my eyes wide open and lowered my blade down, "Y-you're 'T-The Boss'?" I asked with a stutter.
"Yep." He rubbed his throat and stuck his hand out, "Allow me to properly introduce myself. I'm Romeo Grey.. And that girl you were checking out is my daughter Malia Grey." I mentally re-said her name, 'Malia' now that's a nice name.

Romeo helped me steal all the pills. He guided me outside so it can look like he was helping me to my way out. When I was outside I turned to ask him a question. "So.. Boss umm how old is your daughter?"
"She's thirteen, same as you." I could feel my cheeks heating up from all that blushing.
"But listen Derek my family has no clue about the gang. They just think I'm a regular pharmacist. So they can never find out about 'The Rippers'. Malia is off limits. Her and her mother are my entire life." I nodded my head with understanding. I like the fact that he's a family man.. At least he has a family.

Right before I could take off he stopped me, "Derek I've been meaning to send a letter to the gang and explain to them that there's a new guy in town. He wants all our money, drugs, weapons, anything he can get his hands on. And he won't stop until he gets what he wants. This man is severely dangerous."
"Ok then what's his name?" I asked.
"John M. That's all I know he never revealed his last name."
"Ok I'll tell the gang."
"Alright see you around Derek, oh and do me a favour don't tell the gang my name. You can say you met me just don't tell them who I am."
