Chapter 2

"Surprise" was all I heard before Ashton put me down. As I was trying to get down from the island I felt a throbbing pain in my leg, where the bruise was forming. I tried to shake it off but it wasn't helping. I decided to pay no mind so I jumped from the island. I soon face-planted on the hard tile floor. Last voice I heard was Calum's and I blacked-out

I was woken by the sweet sounding voice of Luke and the grasp of Michael's hand.

"Hey Ashton, she's awake. Come here" I heard Calum say quite releaved

I was soon in Ashton's arms. He was so caring. That's what I loved about him. I noticed was in the livingroom on the couch with a cold wet towel on my forehead. When I tried to stand I felt my leg throbbing again. The same feeling I had before I almost died.

Michael was right next to me, waiting for my next step. It was dead silent for maybe 2 minutes.

"Hey, guys I think we should get going. I just remembered I can't make Ashton late." I said in a mocking voice

"Wait, you forgot about my breakfast. Nevermind, I'll just eat at school." Ashton mumbled under his breath.

"Hey hey. Since we are all talking may I please ask you a question Emily? Well I have 2. Number 1, when can I be your boyfriend and number 2..how are you always dressing nice?!" Calum said leading all of us out the door

I was wearing black high waisted jeans, black converse, and my big baggy sweater Michael bought me.

"To answer your first question, Never. We are only best friends haha. Number 2, I learn from your sister, my bestfriend. Now lets hurry up, I don't wanna see Payton." I said limping my way outside as they all agreed and laughed.

Payton's POV:

Ugh first thing I see is that ugly bitch with those amazing, hot, and attractive boys walking outside. How in the hell did she become or even have the talent and look to become their friend. Hehe. I'm kinda glad that big storm hit last night. There was a big puddle by where she was standing. Nice way to make her embarassed when she comes to school. "Hey buzz kill. Getting a ride from the guys you pay to be your friends??!!" I said while laughing hysterically. I noticed she ignored me so I threw my tube of lip gloss at her. "Why don't you just fuck off Payton, ok. I just wanna go to school!" She said kinda annoyed. Perfect timing, she was standing right by the puddle waiting for the boys to get in the car. This is my chance. I got in my car, rolled down my window yelling "HOPE YOU HAVE A CHANGE!!"and drove in the puddle which made her soaking wet. Can't wait to see her at school.
