365 days of love's embrace,
12 months of joy and heart's race,
Two souls entwined in tears and laughter,
One vow for a happily ever after.

January, a union grand,
We pledged to journey hand in hand,
Till the final chapter, we stand.

February, roses and sweets,
Cupid's dance in our heartbeats,
My Clemente, my love complete.

March, two lines, a joyful surprise,
Your words, a father's prize,
"Finally," you said, love in your eyes.

April, mood swings, love's test,
Yet you embraced me, feeling blessed,
Blame it on hormones, love confessed.

May, flowers bloom, love's array,
Stronger we grow, day by day,
Our baby to show life's beautiful display.

June, doubts cloud, family's view,
Future uncertain, self-pity grew,
In shadows, I felt askew.

July, marriage's rocky road,
Our fairytale's heavy load,
Tragic tale in love's abode.

August, love's light dimmed,
Life's canvas, crumpled and trimmed,
Alone in darkness, I brimmed.

September, doubts took hold,
Blinded by actions untold,
Silent departures, hearts cold.

October, battles of words,
Unsettled quarrels, unheard,
Living with you, a living hell incurred.

November, day of sorrow's call,
Heart's fire dimmed, love's fall,
Regret for words that enthrall.

December, our daughter's birth,
Laughter turned to tears on earth,
Reading your epitaph, a heart's dearth.

"My journey might end here,
Breath and heartbeat cease to hear,
But I'm the luckiest to have loved you, my Jenifer dear."
-Clemente 1989-2017

Cancer's shadow, kept from sight,
Tears withheld to shield my light,
Reality's blow, a harsh plight,
Gone from sight, our love's height.

Regrets linger, what-ifs in air,
Too late for words, life's unfair,
Touching cold stone, your name there.
