Put an imaginary line
between who you met each day
Learn to read their minds
before giving the much coveted trust.
They're afterall human
who can cause such betrayal
it's your choice if you let them in
or locked yourself inside.
The line doesn't only indicate limitation
but also a fence of security,
to guard your heart
from being broken all over again.
It's not bad to trust people
but be ready to be shattered
be ready to move forward
if that trust was abused
by your so-called trusted one.
Learn to leave something
Learn to keep something
Learn to value yourself more than them
Learn to distance if it's needed.
