Mingi's POV

I watched it with my own eyes.

As everything unfolded. I watched how her body tipped over the edge. And how I listened to that blood curdling scream fill in the air after her. A scream unlike Yeosang or H to ever utter from their mouths. An experience I'd never find myself disliking. Both Wooyoung and I stood watching closely, very closely. But none of us expected that out come.
For me, When it had happened I was shook, My heavy feet tried guiding me to her. However, it wasn't until That last shot. That last shot, made me finally bolt off and run. Run faster than I had ever ran in my life.
I didn't hear a word after that. Nothing, just a screeching noise. A noise all too familiar to me from a past I wanted to forget.
I didn't hesitate to jump that cliff. Even as the height of the fall and the water below stared me down.. I didn't hesitate. No regrets, nothing, even as I free falled quickly into the unknown.
That fall was too slow. I felt my heart pick up speed, but the fall brought my world into slow motion. As I was descending, I placed my body into a diving position. And like a knife to butter, I enter the lush blue waters.
I opened my eyes searching for her. I looked left and right. And than down.
There finally, I could see her. Angel laid bleeding out and stuck at the bottom of the lake. I swam hurringly to her not wasting another second. Quickly did I grab her by her arm dragging her to the top.
I didn't care if there wasn't an ounce of hope left. Fuck, I wanted to try. Try and save her. Save someone for once in my life.

It only took 5 minutes to get to shore. And as I did I huffed coughing out catching my breath. I crawled to her frantically touching her face and searching for a pulse.
Quickly, I began doing CPR.
Pumping her chest 30 times.
Than, 2 rescue breaths.
30. 2. 30, than 2.
"Angel."

"You should stop. There's nothing we can do."
"Fuck off Yunho." I hiss still trying to save her.
"Look, I'm just as upset as you and everyone else. But it's not going to work-"
San speaks, " Hold up." He walks to Angel and I. Quickly, San sits on the other side of her checking Angel's pulse.
"Hand me the AED."
Yunho nods and grabs it out of the truck for him.
Jongho stands behind Yunho softly crying whereas Seonghwa stares holes into the ground. I let go of her and watch San intently.
"Clear!" San yells before shocking her chest.
He checks agian before speaking, " Clear!"
He shocks her agian.
"It's not-" Yunho is interrupted by a gasp and choking.
"ANGEL!" I yell grabbing her face.
"Mingi.."  she says weakly.
San softly smiles, " We need to get her major medical attention. Time is of the essence. If we don't hurry, she will actually die from blood loss. Hurry her into the truck." Jongho and Seonghwa nod lifting her into the bed of the truck.

《Two Days later》

Shes alive. Thanks to San. At the moment, he has her hooked up on all sorts of things. He told us she was lucky. If we had gotten to her a minute later, we would of lost her for good.
We got everything together in time. Im relived.
"Wheres H?"  I asked San as I sat beside Angel's sleeping form.
"Preparing his victory speach."
"Of course..." Right, we had won. We actually won.
I softly reached out to Angel's hand, but I stop myself. I stopped because a part of me was still stuck with hate. Her father maybe dead, but just looking at her makes everything flow back to me. Every little thing. Why did I have to follow my stupid heart and save you? I could  have let you die. Yet, I ran thinking I wanted you alive. I think Im going crazy..
"You know Mingi, You did the right thing."
"You think?."
"Of course. I know you haven't fully forgiven her. But, I also know you care for her. You took a chance not even Yeosang could do. And that says alot."
"Maybe Im just loosing my mind.."
"I think your bringing yourself back. I don't think you loosing it, if any." I look down softly.
"Maybe.."
"Well, I'll leave you alone for now. Please get something to eat and take care. I don't want you collapsing before the speech tommrow morning. " I nod and San leaves the room.
