Town skippers (Discontinued Until Further Notice)

Chapter 4

I swang my head to where the sound came from I saw Nessta falling off the hood of the car.

"NESSTA!" I screamed.

I threw myself next to her carefully lifting her head on my lap. I saw a pool of blood staining the ground where Nessta's head was just a second ago.

"Oh god! My baby sister! I am so sorry I couldn't protect you. I am so so so fucking sorry!" I said with streams of tears running down my cheeks.

"CALL AN AMBULANCE! NOW!" I shout to the guy that got out of the driver's seat of the car that hit Nessta.

I held her as tightly and closely as I could while crying , waiting for the ambulance.

~ 10 minutes later ~

I first heard the loud sound of the sirens then i looked up and saw red and blue through the blurriness of my ,still running down my face, tears.

I cried a sound of relief and let the ambulance take her away. I rode with them to the 10 minute drive to the hospital.

Once we were there she was rushed to the emergency room. Oh and I forgot to mention this but the guy that hit my sister is with me too he came with his car.

I looked over at him and saw his face covered with nothing but utter and pure guilt. He noticed me looking at him so he quickly started apologizing.

" I am so so so so so so sorry for what happened! I was on my phone trying to reach my best friend and i didn't notice the red light and I hit your sister and for that i am incridbly sorry! I swear it wasnt on purpose just please forgive me!" he cried.

I looked at him with disgust painting my face and said

"How they actual fuck do you expect me to forgive you!? YOU HIT MY SISTER BECAUSE YOU WERE ON THE PHONE! NOT TO MENTION SHE MIGHT NOT MAKE IT OUT ALIVE AND EVEN IF SHE DOES I DONT HAVE THE MONEY TO KEEP HER HERE! SO TAKE THAT SORRY EXCUSE OF AN APOLOGY AND SHOVE IT UP WHERE THE SON DONT SHINE!" I shouted.

He looked surprised and ashamed but what he said next really did shock me to the core.

~ 2 Hours later ~

The doctor came about an hour ago saying that shell be fine but she had a concussion which was so bad that shell be in a coma for 3 weeks or at least thats what they think. I thank the doctor releaved shes alive but worried that shell never wake up.

I was thinking over and over what the guy ,Rhysand he said his name was, told me when I heard my stomach rumbling signalling me that i am hungry. I went over to the vending machine and popped in some coins. "Should I really rely and accept his money to pay for the hospital expenses? I mean he could just be scamming me to get me off his back." I thought. But something deep down in my gut told me that i should listen to and believe him.

And so I did , I always listen to my gut feeling and I was always right. Once i got back i sat down next to him and looked at him while saying

" Fine I accept your money but on one condition!"

"Which is?"He asked.

"That you give me your word that you aren't lying and that you'll actually pay it all off." I answered.

"Okay, I give you my word that I am not lying and that I will pay it all off to the very last penny." He replied with his head held high. I giggled to my self at that.

"Good! Now you better keep it or I will take you to the cops!" I warned.

"Okay, jeez no need to be all serious. I promise you if you ask all around town you'll know that I am the most trust worthy and truthful and word keeping one here!" He said proudly.

I just nodded in response.

"Oh and speaking of the town. What are you doing here? of all places? People usually overlook us and head straight to the big city. So? What brought you here?"He said puzzled.

"I just wanted a quite place and hidden in the shadows place that I can run and hide from my past in and I noticed this town and decided it was the best place just for that."I answered quietly.

"OH thats good then. But do you have a place to stay though?" He said
"No, I just thought I'd stay in an abandoned house or something." I said back.

"THAT'S GREAT YOU CAN STAY WITH ME AND MY LITTLE SISTER! I STILL FELL BAD FOR WHAT HAPPENED AND THIS IS THE ONLY WAY I CAN THINK OF TO REPAY YOU!"He said excitedly.

I just looked at him giving him the " What the actual fuck" look.

"Me and my little sister live alone and it kinda gets boring and plain when its always just the two of us so i thought why not? plus my house is really close to the school you and your little sister can go to! Its only like 5-10 minutes walking distance!" He quickly explained.

"So? what do you say? YES or NO?"He pushed.

Honeslty he sounded like such a little happy puppy I just had to answer him but what do I say?

"I- um...." I stuttered.
