Town skippers (Discontinued Until Further Notice)

Chapter 5

"I-um... I am flattered but I gotta say no. I mean I just met you plus you've already been spared for paying the bills ,but thanks for the invitation anyways." I smiled.

"Okay ,if you say so I just had to do it and invite you so my conscience doesn't keep bugging me. Anyway can you at least let me help you choose?" He pleaded.

"I- sure fine. If you're gonna help let's go now. Okay let's hurry." I agreed

"Okay. I know some pretty good ,somewhat clean abandoned house. Let's go I'll show you it's only like 10 minutes away from school and here too."

"Okay."

~ 10 minutes later ~

"Okay. This is it."

I looked up at a worn down house. It might have peeled white paint and 4-5 holes in the roof but it was much better than I expected and I just still haven't seen the inside.

I followed him inside the house. I looked around. The floors had 2 or so holes and they were very creaky but it could have been worse ,right?

Welp. There is a rat and termite infection but other than that it's pretty good. I am just going to buy rat poison and some boric acid for the termites. I am going to put them both in front of and inside of the rooms me and Nesta will use most. By that I mean the bathroom ,kitchen ,living room and our rooms.

It's now 12 am Rhysand left an hour and half ago.

Right now I am getting ready to go to bed however without the poison or acid ,I am gonna buy those tommorow morning. So, today those rodents and bugs will be sleeping in bed right next to me. Wouldn't have it better.

~ The next morning ~

This morning I woke up at 10 am got ready and went on my search for the poison and acid.

It took me about 3 hours to find them both. Once I did I went to a mini market and bought a bagged sandwich and ate it on my way to go visit my sister.

For the next 2 days that was my routine just without the sleeping next to rats and bugs and buying what I needed to kill them instead I just explored town and in-rolled me and my sister in the town school.

It had been 30 min of me trying to sleep when I suddenly heard a knock on the door.

I cautiously got out of my bed which in fact does have holes ,thank you termites.

I opened the front door to be greeted with Rhysand's painting figure.

"Hi? What are you doing here? Is it because of the money? Did something happen? Are you taking back your word? Oh god I knew I shouldn't have trusted some guy I just met!" I blabbered.

"Hey hey calm down! I am still paying for everything I just couldn't take the fact that I let you live in this shit hole." He calmed me down.

"Um..." I was confused and speechless.

"Come on pack you and your sister's bags and come out. I am waiting outside for you with my bike." He said.

"Oh ,no no no no. It's okay really I already took care of the rats and termites and I don't really mind the holes or the creaking." I refused.

"Come on. Hurry up! I won't take no for an answer."

"I am really fine! Really I comfortable here! It already feels like home and I got used to the creaking and my foot falling into holes! Really just get back home it's really late. It's already 12:30 am. You wouldn't want your little sister to wake up and not find you there now would you?" I refused again.
