The first thing Yellow noticed when she woke up was how quiet it was. Too quiet.
Maybe she was the first one up and she exits her tent, furrowing her brows at the sight before her.
She wasn't. The rest of the camp was up and they were in a circle in a specific area.
"What's going on here?" She asks pushing through them.
Yellow stops seeing the grass coated in blood and a trail leading into the forest. Her troop frozen in shock and fear that their friend or neighbor was gone. Just like that.
"It was that dragon!" One shouted.
"Hurry gather our things and follow that trail!" Another said.
Yellow shakes her head in the midst of the chaos. She opens her mouth to quiet them down before a roar rips through the air.
It stuns them all to silence and Yellow turns to the peasants.
"Grab your weapons." She orders and sends them scrambling.
Yellow goes to her own tent and straps on her armor. She folds up the wool walls and takes out the sticks, rolling it up and wraps a tie around it.
She throws it into the arms of someone else and leads them into the forest.
"Stay on your guard. Like I said yesterday, we're still going to the cave."
Some men groan but not loud enough for Yellow to hear. They know exactly what will happen if she did.
It didn't matter though.
Yellow was gone.
Panic broke out in the group. The loud noises alerting nearby animals.
It was all for nothing though. Literally. Yellow walked out from behind a tree and yelled at them to shut their traps.
"I was gone for a second and look at all of you!"
She shakes her head disappointingly. "Go back to the clearing then and stay there if you can't handle this. All of you. I'm going alone."
There were no complaints. Yellow suggested as much. They were all too soft. Due to the queen not having them trained first.
She could list a bunch of things the queen was doing wrong but she couldn't completely blame her. The old age was getting to her. Not making her think straight.
As well as the loss of her daughter. Yellow sighs, continuing deeper into the forest. The canopy getting thicker, making it harder to see.
The little streams of sunlight through the leaves lit up her way and in the middle of the path she sees a dark Blue cloak.
Curiously, Yellow picks it up. Weird for clothing to be this deep in the forest. Looked familiar to her but she couldn't quite place it.
"Can I get that back please?" A soft spoken voice says from behind her.
On instinct, Yellow slides out her sword and turns around, aiming at the person behind.
It was a woman, around Yellow's height and age by the looks of it. She didn't seemed fazed by her sword and Yellow lowered it a bit.
"What is a woman doing out here by herself and unarmed?" Yellow asks, tossing the cloak to her open arms.
"What is a knight doing out here after sending her troops back to camp?" The woman fires back.
Yellow would've snickered at that response but how did this woman know about that? Well they were all loud at that moment but still.
"How do you know that?" She asks, raising the sword back up.
"I heard." She answers, putting her cloak on.
Snapping it around her neck by a gem hook on the front. She sighs in relief as if a pain was lifted from her and she could relax.
"...you wouldn't have seen a dragon around here would you?" Yellow asks.
The woman freezes from adjusting her hair for a second before finishing.
"A-a dragon? No..not that I've seen."
She was lying.
"You're lying." Yellow presses the sword tip onto her neck. "Tell me the truth."
"I'm sorry." Was what Yellow heard when sword met sword.
"Who are you?"
The other woman somehow moves faster than Yellow can react and has the knight on the floor in an instant. Her sword knocked out of her hands and one raised to her face.
"I'm Blue. Like I said before, I'm sorry for this. I can't help it. I really can't." Blue apologizes before turning her sword around and using the hilt to knock Yellow out.
She frowns and keeps down her relentless side, enough to pick Yellow up and bring her to a side of the mountain.
She leans her against the rocky wall and places her sword onto her lap. Blue backs up and nods at her work. Make it look like Yellow tried to climb the mountain but fell and passed out.
Hopefully Blue hit her hard enough to where she would forget about meeting her. She looks in the general direction of her left behind troop and forces a grin on her face.
She slides her own sword back into the sheath on her hip and pulls up her hood. Poor knight. Having to control a band of peasants who would die instantaneously at the face of a dragon.
Especially if they freaked out when Yellow left for a second. Blue chuckles remembering them freaking out, the other side of her enjoying the shouting.
That other side also leading her to the camp, to claim more lives of those who are supposedly hunting that side of her.

Hey dragon Blue, give Blue a rest. She's tired of your shenanigans.Huh. The chapters are getting shorter. My bad. I'm not used to writing this type of AU.
I'm not even sure how I want this story to go still but after this chapter I'm going to plan it out so it's in some kind of order for me.
I love Blue so much that it hurts -Yellow, always.
