"Right, Vi, you have to look perfect today, we can't risk you not impressing Finn." Vivian was currently sat in front of the small mirror in her room. Evelyn was brushing her hair, trying to find a way to style it, while Vivian did her make up.

Lillian sat on the bed, watching them absentmindedly. She was fidgeting with the rings on her fingers.

"Ow, Eve! That fucking hurt, you little cunt!" Vivian yelled, yanking her head away from her friend.

"It ain't my fault you don't brush your fucking hair." The brunette replied, taking hold of the girl's head, brushing through her hair.

The two of them continued bickering, hurling insults at each other as they attempted to get Vivian 'dolled up' for the Peaky boy.

Lillian played with the small gold ring on her finger, remembering the man who had given it to her. Thomas Shelby. All those years ago, when he loved her, and she loved him.

She had been so busy reminiscing about the good days that she hadn't realised that the girls were talking to her, "Lil, what do you think?" Evelyn asked, waving her hands around in front of the woman.

Lillian's attention snapped to the girls, "What? Yes, sorry girls, my mind must have wondered." She said, standing up from her place on the bed, "Wow, Vi, you look beautiful. Surely the Shelby boy won't be able to resist you." The woman said, looking at the younger girl.

"I hope so." Vivian looked at her reflection, pale skin, dark hair and brown eyes stared back at her.

Evelyn plaved her hand on her friend's shoulder, "He's going to love you, babe."

Vivian stood, giving her brown haired  friend a hug, "I love you, Eve."

"I love you too, Vi."

The two separated, looking to Lillian, who motioned to the door, "Right, time to go. Don't want to keep the Peaky boy waiting."

Vivian gave Lillian a quick hug, before leaving the room.

Lillian spoke to Evelyn, "I hope this goes well." She said, biting her nails.

"Me too, Lil. I don't trust those Blinders." Evelyn said, looking to the woman, "I don't blame you. They gain your trust then end up turning against you, using you."

Vivian walked through the streets of Small Heath, trying to find the address which Lillian had scrawled on a piece of  paper.

She stared at the houses as she passed, tall black buildings rising above the cobbled street. The  doors on each of them were painted black, the windows also somehow seemed to be black.

She felt eyes watching her as she passed.

She counted each door, looking for the entrence to the Blinders gambling den.

She had been searching for a while when she say Polly Gray, the boy's aunt, exit a door a few feet away from her.

Vivian walked to the door, not sure whether she should just walk on it, or if she should knock first.
