Vivian was sat behind her desk. Papers littered the table top. She was currently scribbling numbers on a page.

Ever since beginning her job at Shelby Company Limited, Vivian's skills in both maths and English had increased. She could now do complicated sums in her head, and could even work a type writer.

She normally worked late into the nights, working out the wages of the employees, and anyone who Thomas had hired for other things.

Evelyn was happy. She and Michael had officially moved in together, and were planning on starting a family one day.

Vivian's love life, however, was a different story. She had had a number of run ins with Finn, her job bringing her into close proximity of the boy.

The pair had only slept together twice, the first time when she was paid, and that night after the Garrison, when Vivian had found out Tommy wanted her to work for him.

Vivian missed getting close to Finn.

She hated how he made her feel. She had never wanted to let a boy get close to her, that was until she met Finn. He was so different to all the other boys, he was kind, and gentle and he listened to her.

But the pair rarely got to enjoy each others company, as Thomas was always sending him to do his bidding, meaning the girl only saw him twice every week or so.

She had been so lost in thought, that she hadn't heard the knock at her office door.

Her head sprung up as she heard footsteps in front of her. It was Finn.

His auburn hair was glowing in the light, his curls stuck to his head, his beautiful green eyes watched the woman in front of him.

"Vi.." He spoke, his voice a mere whisper.

The girl looked at him, a look of surprise spread across her features, "Finn. Tommy said you were out."

The boy set his hat on the table by the door, he stepped in the room, closing the door.

"I was. Tom had sent me on a job, but I needed to see you, Vi. I missed you."

The girl watched as he made his way towards her, sitting on the edge of her desk. He gently placed his hand on her cheek, rubbing his thumb over her soft skin.

Vivian set her pencil down, reaching her hand up to his. She held it, leaning into his hand.

"I missed you so much, Vi."

The boy leaned down, his lips inches from hers, his hand still on her cheek.

The girl's breath hitched in her throat, she wanted to kiss him, but knew Thomas would never allow it.

She spoke, her voice small, "We can't, Finn. I want to, but Tommy..."

"Fuck, Tommy. I need you, Vivian."

Vivian looked at him, she admired his features, his soft eyes, the handful of curls placed on his head. The freckles which littered his nose.

Her hand went to his chin, tracing the slight scar on it with her fingertip, "Finn.."

He placed his lips on hers, a small gasp coming from the girl as the gap closed.

She stood up, not breaking the kiss. She stood between his legs, his hands going to her lower back.

Vivian knew they shouldn't. She knew Tommy could walk in at any moment, but she wanted him. The time he'd been away, she had missed him. Missed the feeling of his lips on hers, his skin on her own.

Finn pulled her closer, gripping the cloth of her dress, while Vivian's hands were tangled in his curls.

She pulled away, "We can't. Not here." She walked off, lifting her coat of the rack by the door. She felt Finn grab her wrist, causing her to turn, "Please, Vi. I need you."

"I'm sorry, Finn." She said, walking out of the room, leaving the heartbroken Shelby boy alone.
