Joe sighed as he zipped up his last suite case, carrying it downstairs. He pulled out the small, white envelope in his pocket, setting it on the counter. He wiped the tears streaming down his cheeks, picking up his bags and tip toeing to the door, he took one last glance at the apartment him and his roommate, Caspar, shared. He walked quickly to his car, throwing his bags in the back and slumping down in the front seat. He ran his fingers through his messy hair, then pulling his key from his pocket and jamming it into the ignition.

As he drove down the dark, lonely road, Joe couldn't help but let his mind wonder back to Caspar. He had to fight his inner self from turning back, he already misses Caspar like hell, but kept thinking to himself, "It's for the best".

Joe pulled up to his sisters flat and quickly walked to the door. He knocked and after a minute or two, the door swung open revealing a very tired and pissed off Zoe, but her face softened slightly at the sight of her brother.

"Joe, what are you doing here this late? Its nearly half past 3!"

"It's a little hard to explain-"

Alfie then appeared, yawning, with Nala, their puppy, nipping at his heels.

"Zoe who's at the- Joe?" Joe nervously waved, feeling slightly uncomfortable. He scratched at the back of his head awkwardly, "can I uh, come in?"

"Oh of course, I'm sorry," Zoe said, moving from the door so her brother could come in, then closed it behind him. The three made their way to the living room, Zoe sat down on the sofa and Alfie plopped down next to her, laying his arm across her shoulder. Joe sat down on the chair across from the couple. They sat their in silence for a few moments before Alfie spoke, "if you don't mind me asking, what brings you here? Did something happen with Caspar?"

"Sort of... it's complicated" joe replied.

"What do you mean, Joe? Is everything alright?" Zoe asked, concern evident in her thick accent. Joe looked down at his lap, trying to hold back tears. Zoe got up from her seat on the couch and went over to Joe, rubbing his shoulder.

"Joe please tell us what's going on, I'm all ears."

Joe looked up and stared into his sisters concerned eyes, Zoe could see the wall of tears joe was holding back. Alfie watched as the pair communicated through looks, not quite sure what was going on.

Zoe turned to Alfie, "Could you go up to bed, I'll be there shortly." Alfie simply nodded, patting Joes shoulder as he passed by.

"Alfies gone, now please tell me what's going on."

Joe sighed and reached into his pocket, pulling out a small piece of paper, handing it to Zoey. She examined it, then looked at Joe, wide eyed.

"Who's is this?"

"It's mine."

"Is this why you left?"

Joe nodded, letting the tears flow. Zoe pulled him into a tight hug, letting him cry into her shoulder, tearing up a bit herself. She hated seeing her little brother so upset and even though she couldn't understand what he was going through right now, she felt his pain.

"Zoe what am I going to do?" Joe sobbed, "I can't get rid it." Zoe shushed him, "it's okay, you don't have to. Alfie and I will be here for you through the whole thing, but I think you should still tell Caspar."

"I can't, Zoe, even if he did stay, it would ruin his life too. He has such a great future and I don't want to hold him back from that."

Zoe gave Joe a disapproving look but just simply nodded in reply.

"We can talk about this in the morning, we both need to get some rest." Zoe said, kissing her brother on the head, then standing up. "You know where the guest bedroom is and if you need anything, don't be afraid to ask." She smiled, before turning around and making her way up the stairs. Joe watched as she disappeared. He dried the tears from his face, then got up and slumped to the guest room. He stood in front of the mirror and slowly lifted up his shirt, revealing a very small baby bump.

I'm honestly really excited about this story, I already have so much of it planned out! I hope it's okay, I've never written in 3rd person POV before so this is new to me but I think I like it. I will also be attaching a song to each chapter because why not.
