Dark Attraction

I need her.

I opened the door to see Danny and the Head cheerleader, Lisa, also known as the school slut. They were in an intense make out session. I guess they heard the door creak, cause they turned and looked in my direction.  Serena smiled at me.

"Babe, its not what it looks like, she came on to me, I tried to push her off." He says.

"Why would you do this to me?! I loved you!" I reply, trying to hold back the tears that threaten to spill over. 

"Oh please he was just trying to get in your pants.  After a few months he saw you weren't giving it up. So he came to me. You're missing out darling, he is awesome in bed." She smirks.

"How long have you been fucking her Danny?!" I scream.

"6 months." He answers quietly.

"DAMN YOU DANNY, DAMN YOU! I LOVED YOU. I THOUGHT YOU WERE MY EVERYTHING! HAVE A NICE LIFE WITH YOUR WHORE! Both of you deserve each other and can rot in hell for all I care." I yell.

"SAMANTHA!"

I run down the stair case and out the house. I don't try and look for my friends. I decide to walk home. A 20 minute drive here is probably a longer walk. Whatever, no ones expecting me anyway. After 10 minutes, my eyes becomes too blurry to see through from the tears. I see a park and sit on the swings, letting the tears fall. I don't know how long I've been sitting here. I hear some rustling in the bushes. I pass it off as wildlife though. I get up and start wobbling, probably shouldn't have drank so much. My head is spinning.  I hear footsteps and look up to see a man dressed in black; black boots, dark wash jeans, black shirt and a black leather jacket. I have no clue who he is, I don't remember ever seeing him around.

"Well hello there Samantha. You're quite lovely up close, and you smell delightful." He smiles wickedly. 

" Listen pal, you've got the wrong Samantha, I don't know who you are. So move along." I try to play strong even though I want to pass out.

I start walking away but he stops me.

"No darling, I've got the right Samantha. Right Miss Fae? Forgive me, my name is James Salve. I've been watching you for quite some time.  You are a crucial part of our plan." He informs me.

Just then a couple guys come out from seemingly out of nowhere. I stare at the guy that was talking to me. For the first time I notice his eyes are black with red rims. Good grief buddy, get some sleep will ya.

"What do you want with me? I don't know you, and I don't have anything you want." I state. At this point I'm swaying and seeing doubles.

"Its not you I'm after. You're just bait for someone I want. Don't worry I won't hurt you, just come with me." He pleads.

"Yeah right." I take off running. A pair of arms grab me and spin me around, I scream and I look up to see James.

"I like them feisty." He says

I feel a sting in my neck and the darkness consumes me.

(Jason's p.o.v)

Declan, Priya and I have been combing the town looking for more info on the Salves and trying to scope out any places they may be hiding out. We head back to the place where Declan picked up the scent but couldn't track it far. We asked around and compelled people to forget.

"We are getting nowhere guys." Priya groans.

"I guess they're trying to make sure we don't find them. They're covering their tracks well." Declan sighs.

"It still doesn't mean they're not here. We should try the warehouses on the docks." I suggest.

"Alright then lets go." They chime.

Just then I heard a scream. It could be anyone but I'd know that voice anywhere. Samantha. I left her at the party, what's going on?

"Guys wait. I heard Samantha scream. We need to find her!" I demand.

"Are you sure it was her? It could've been anyone. Priya questions.

"I'd know her voice anywhere, its her. There's something wrong." I said.

I take off running using vampire speed. I rush back to the house as fast as I can. A short time later I see the house. I see Samantha's boyfriend kissing some girl. What the hell? Isn't he with Samantha?  I make a mental not to come after him later. I pick up her scent and follow it; Priya and Declan behind me. I follow it for a small distance, due to my speed it takes me no time but for her it would've been a 20 minute walk. Where was she going? I follow her scent to a park.

"I smell the Salves scent. The same as earlier. It's mixed with Samantha's." Declan states.

"They must have her. But why would they take her, they don't know her. She's just a random person." I claim.

"Yes to them she's a random. However to you she isn't." Priya says.

"What are you getting at?" I ask.

"I think they've been watching us. We haven't been able to see them but that doesn't mean they haven't been watching us though.  They've must've been watching and saw you take an interest to the girl.  It's the only reason they'd grab her." Priya explains.

I process this. She's right, there's no reason for the Salves to grab a human. I need to find her, she's in danger.

"We need to find her. I'm going to tear their heads off!" I yell.

"You know this is a trap, they want us to look for her. They're going to want us to surrender ourselves for the girl. We can't walk into this blindly. We need a plan or else all of us will be killed." Declan explains.

He's right, we'll be killed if we storm in there. Sam is going to be scared if she isn't already. I didn't want to get to know her this way but there's no choice now. We need  to save her. I need her.

"I've got a plan."
