Pt. 1 "Love, and Loss"

Sayaka Looked at Naegi in shock. "W-Why did things end up the way they are.. d-did i do s-something wrong..?!" Stuttering, Sayaka looked into Makoto's eyes. They were tearing up. "Look Sayaka.." Makoto trying to keep his composure. "I-" Sayaka started to break down.

Makoto Naegi. Sayaka Maizono's Boyfriend. Or Ex Boyfriend now. They both met while in school. It was a vivid memory.. but still so clear to her..

It was the beginning of junior year. "Um.. is this s-seat taken?" He said to me. I shook my head, he then took a seat on the chair at the desk next to mine. "Im Sayaka Maizono! Its nice to meet you...?" "Makoto Naegi.." he said with a meek smile on his face while slightly flustered. It was easy to tell how nervous the poor boy was. I let out a small giggle. "Well its nice to meet you Naegi!" I turned around to face him and extended my arm out for a shake. He shook my hand. " Its nice to meet you too Maizono.."

"I-" Naegi chocked out before tears started falling from his brown auburn eyes. And That was all he was able to get out before Sayaka ran out the house. Where was she going? She had no idea. She just kept on running. And running. And running. With no specific direction she was going. All she knew was she had to leave..

"I-i love you Naegi!!" Sayaka's face was flustered in crimson red. Naegi was at first shocked. Then he turned around to face the Sakura tree's trunk and bent down to grab something. "I-i love you too Maizono.!" He said as he nervously pushed the flowers in her direction. He planned to confess to her, but she got to him first. They were both so happy on that day..
Too bad that it had too end.

Sayaka found herself at a beach.. A beach she was familiar with. Her and Makoto used to go on dates here all the time. But Two months after Sayaka and Makoto stared dating.. Two months after they got on a first name basis.. Things started to change. Makoto was more distant around Sayaka. She wondered if there was a reason for this. Was it because all the attention she got while walking down the halls during school? That wasn't something she could control. People wanting autographs, or a hug from her. What was so special about her.. all she was known for was singing. No one besides her good friends knew her for much more than her voice.. Naegi was one of them.. but now he was gone from her grasp..

She collapsed on the sand falling to her knees. It was the second week of summer vacation. 8 am. The class was currently staying at Sayaka's vacation home. She was a good while away from there now. The Vacation home wasnt too far away from Hopes Peak High either.

"Hey everyone! Im inviting everyone here to stay with me at my vacation home this summer!" She said in her usually cheery voice. "Im down!" Leon said in excitement. The whole class pitched in, in excitement. "Cool!" Naegi said genuinely happy to be spending the summer with his classmates and most importantly. His girlfriend. Who he loved so much.. or at least he thought he did..

She began to cry, her crying then turned into sobbing. The sobbing then turning into blood curtailing screams of pain and heart ache.. She loved him. Most importantly she trusted him..

While he became distant Sayaka realized he would leave in the middle of the night. All she could assume.. was the worst.. is this why Makoto Naegi stoped hugging her from behind in the mornings? Is this why he stopped telling her "I love you" ? She didnt know. All she could do was assume.

And scream and cry. She's never felt this much pain before. She was always so optimistic, and upbeat. But now, she was breaking down. After a few minutes, she couldnt scream anymore. Her throat terribly hurt. She looked at the sun, then crawled her way to the water to look at her reflection. She looked horrible.. she had eye liner dripping down her face, and her eyes were red and puffy. She closed her eyes and continued to silently cry.

"Maizono..?" A calm sympathetic voice was heard on the empty beach. Sayaka ignored whoever it was. Until she felt a hand on her back. She turned around. And her face was met with Kyoko Kirigiri's.
