"Hey! You're home, how are you" mum smiles and I run to her

"I don't get it mum. She's gone. I couldn't find her. She sold her house and-" I sniffle

"Gray. Baby. Come sit. Tell me what happened... and what you mean by she sold her house" I take a seat next to her

"I went to her school and they thought she was still with us. I got her address from them and I went to her house, the lady that answered the door told me that maddie, herself, sold the house to her. So then I went to the realestate agency and asked them for details. There was no sign of her parents being involved in this at all" I pause

"So what does that mean?" She asks

" well I went to the police station and I found out- oh god mum. She lost both her parents. In one fucking week. Now she's out there alone, who knows if she's even out there. She could be-" mom interrupts

"Baby, you're just thinking the worse. We know mads, we know she's a strong girl. We will find her somehow I promise" she grabs my hand

"H-how do you know for sure?" I look at her

"Trust me Gray, I just do" she kisses my forehead

Mads POV

"Thank you so much, I'm so glad I can finally call this house a home now" I smile

"No problem maddie, for sure give me a call whenever you want someone to hang out with" he pulls me into a hug

"Of course, Josh" we let go of the hug and he leaves the house

Oh boy what a massive week it's been. I bought the house. I absolutely adore it, but I changed it up. I repainted everything, redid the tiling and carpets and fixed up anything else that needed fixing up. The painting and everything took 2 and half days so after that I bought in the furniture. I even created an outside gym.

I met josh when he was painting my house. He was helping out his dad, he's pretty cool actually. He's my age and he's homeschooled, Josh only moved here about nine months ago so he doesn't have too many friends either. We kinda clicked and became good friends straight away.

School starts back in a week so that gives me enough times to settle in. Unfortunately for me there's no other school in the area other than the one gray goes to. I considered online school but for the moment I think I need to stay in actual school. At least til I start showing... which I'm really not looking forward to.

I haven't contacted daisy yet, nor have I gone on social media. I got a new number so gray doesn't have it. The only number I have is Josh's. I think I might try going on social media in a couple days, good luck to me. I hope daisy isn't mad at me. I've really missed her.

Ethans POV

"Babe, can you help me please" I beg

"With what?" Laura turns to look at me

"Well you know how bad I fucked it with gray so I want to help him. I need to fix this, I hurt mads. Can you please help me look for her, I think she's still in America. Grays in Australia looking for her but he hasn't had any luck" she sighs

"Ok baby I understand, we go to the police station tomorrow and see if they can give us any details" I kissed her

"I love you"

Grays POV

- two days later

"Hey mom" I yawn

"Oh hey gray. I made pancakes" she handed me a plate

"thanks. Not that I'm worried or anything but where has Ethan been the past few days" I look down

"He's been staying with Laura. He doesn't know your home" I just nod and continue eating

"Look gray, I know your brother hurt you. But he's your brother, you need to forgive him. You guys have never been apart, it isn't good for you two" she sighs

"Mom, I know he's my brother but what he did was wrong" I say

"Please can you forgive him. For me?" I grunt but nod

I get on my phone and check Snapchat. Nothing too exciting there so I went on Instagram. I always scroll through instagram when I'm eating breakfast. I go to search and type in maddies account name.

"OH MY FUCKING GOD"

Ethans POV

"Hey guys ... I guess I'm back. I'm sorry I disappeared for a while 🥺. And the location tagged is in LA. She's still here! I knew it!" I jumped

"Haha chill babe. Show us the location" Laura says n i pass her my phone

She clicked the location and we found that it was in a park in this private street. We decided to have a shower then go to the street. I got changed as quick as I could n we drove to the park. It was only about 20 minutes away luckily, but i wasn't really familiar with this street.

"I can't think of anyone that lives here... can you?" I face Laura

"Nup. Let's go knock on some doors" we park and get out of the car.

We take opposite sides of the street. We get about 4 houses down and we have had no luck, they all seem to be elderly. Maybe she just saw the park and took a photo in it.

*knock knock*

"Hel-" she paused.

We sorta just stared at each other for a few seconds.  And then she slammed the door in my face and I heard her footsteps run away. A flashback of all the things I said to her rushed through my mind. I couldn't imagine how she feels, I would slam the door in my face too.

*knock knock*

"Mads- I mean, Maddie. I'm sorry. I know the things I said to you were extremely hurtful but I didn't mean it. I should've given you time to explain. I can't even imagine how you must've felt. Please forgive me, I need to talk to you, I need to fix this. For you and for gray" I take a breath and wait.

About 30 seconds later the door slowly opened again, Mads nodded at me to come in. I quickly look. back and nod at Laura to wait in the car then I head inside.

"Wow. This house is lovely. Who's is it?" I asked

"Mine" she mumbled

"Oh cool. How come your here?" I take a seat.

"Long story" she looks down

"Could we please fix this. I need to know you can forgive me so everything can go back to normal. Gray has missed you so much, he needs you in his life. You and... and this baby" she looks at me and stared for a second.

"Okay, I forgive you" she slowly smiles
