I had been in my new room for a long time. Janson would sometimes appear through the window to look at me. He would always smile and say "W.C.K.D is good" before turning off the microphone and the window would turn white again.

Newt's death would still be shown to me. By now, I had seen it to many times to cry over it. I just stared with sad eyes as I saw Newt close his eyes, let go and fall.

The window cleared again and my head turned, expecting to see Janson. But it was empty. I rose to my feet and walked closer to it. No one could be seen outside and for the first time since getting here I could see the background closer.

My room appeared to be in some kind of bigger room. Glass walls separated smaller rooms from the bigger ones. I guess they used to be offices, because I could see chairs and desks.

My eyes searched the room outside further. I could see a big monitor with a lot of smaller screens. What were they watching?

A sudden movement snapped me back into reality. People in white lab coats started to fill the room. No one seemed to notice that my window had been opened, allowing me to see everything that happened.

Something seemed to cause panic, because it looked as if they were shouting. My room must have been soundproof, because it was like watching a mute movie. The scientist walked around, my eyes following them while looking for a familiar face. Looking for Janson.

The doors were suddenly kicked in and soldiers in black armour came running in. They started shooting the lab coats, making them fall down onto the floor. I could see blood oozing out onto the floor.

I didn't want the soldiers to see me. I had already almost died twice. Once with the maze doors, once by George's knife. I kneeled down by the window, pressing myself against the wall. If I made myself small enough, maybe they wouldn't notice.

After a while, I decided to peak over the window frame. The place was crashed. Lights hanging from the ceiling, screens broken and dead bodies everywhere. Bodies laying on the ground, leaning over tables and sitting in chairs. A red light went of over another door as it opened. Not taking any risks, I quickly hid my head again.

However, curiosity got the better of me and I peaked out the window again. And I saw my boys. I could see Minho walking through the door, looking like he was giving instructions to the Gladers. I could see Frypan and Winston entering the big room as well.

Other boys appeared, but none that I had seen before. Then I saw him. Newt. My mouth fell open as I felt tears form in my eyes. I had thought he was dead, his jump being played for me every day.

I quickly rose to my feet and leaned onto the window. "Newt! Minho!" They didn't appear to hear me. I placed the palm of my hands on the window and banged against the glass. "Newt!" I shouted.

The banging seemed to get the Gladers attention, because they turned. I could see Newt's expression turning from confusion to happiness. He ran up to the window and placed his hand onto mine, the glass between us. "Em!" I could see him saying my name.

I nodded and cried. I thought he had died. Minho had also walked over to the room I was in. He seemed to talk to Newt. Minho turned to the other Gladers and said something. One of them answered and Minho nodded.

The conversation between Newt and Minho went on for a little while as I looked at them. They hadn't changed that much since last time I saw them. A bit dirtier and a few new cuts, but they were still my boys.

Minho raised a sharp stick and motioned for me to move back. I went into a corner of the room, looking at the ones on the other side of the glass. Minho seemed to say something to Newt, who nodded. They appeared to be counting down before they hit the glass.
